WORDS ON FIRE

1 Thessalonians 5:16‭-‬17 AMPC
Be happy [in your faith] and rejoice and be glad-hearted continually (always);
Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly];

James 5:16b AMPC
The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous
power available [dynamic in its working].

A relentless Christian is a fully persuaded child of God. He has such a depth of
understanding of God and he is in a perpetual relationship with God that no
matter what the enemy says or do he or she is not one bit fazed.

Daniel 3:8‭, ‬14‭-‬18 KJV Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near,
and accused the Jews. Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the
golden image which I have set up? Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear
the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all
kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but
if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning
fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, answered and said to the king, O
Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so,
our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and
he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee,
O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou
hast set up.

Romans 8:38‭-‬39 KJV For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor
angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from
the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Luke 4:13 AMPC
And when the devil had ended every [the complete cycle of] temptation, he
[temporarily] left Him [that is, stood off from Him] until another *more
opportune and favorable time*.

Satan left Jesus until another *more opportune and favorable time*. The devil is
a relentless enemy. You would have thought that after Jesus shut him up, he
would go away to go sulk and never try such an affront again. No he went away to
wait for another opportunity. The most successful attack of the devil happens
when we are weak, when have justifiable desires that God is saying wait for bit
more longer to yet we seek to satiate, when we let our guard down…

Satan always seeks to get an advantage of those who are ignorant of him or
ignorant of his crafts. Every satanic activity is calculated, purposeful and the
outcome sought would be to further his agenda.

For all that is in the world–the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual
gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the
pride of life [assurance in one’s own resources or in the stability of earthly
things]–these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself].
1 John 2:16 AMPC

Being subject to God rests on Jesus being our Saviour and Lord. It is about our
faith and obedience to the Word of God and our yieldedness to the Holy Spirit.
“Ephesians 6:12” we are not wrestling against mere humans. But a supernatural
entity and for our victory to be sure we must be connected firmly to the Power
much more greater – the Holy Trinity. God the Father, God the Son and God the
Holy Spirit.

Be well balanced and always alert, because your enemy, the devil, roams around
incessantly, like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour. Take a decisive
stand against him and resist his every attack with strong, vigorous faith. For
you know that your believing brothers and sisters around the world are
experiencing the same kinds of troubles you endure.
1 Peter 5:8‭-‬9 TPT

Job 1:7 AMPC
And the Lord said to Satan, From where did you come? Then Satan answered the
Lord, From going to and fro on the earth and from walking up and down on it.

In Job 1:7 and 1 Peter 5:8‭-‬9
you can again see the relentless nature of the devil…he keeps going to and fro
(roaming). He is restless. Restlessness is not a virtue at all. No evil doer can
ever boast of finding rest. But praise be to God we who are in Christ can.

Hebrews 4:9‭-‬10 AMPC
So then, there is still awaiting a full and complete Sabbath-rest reserved for
the [true] people of God; For he who has once entered [God’s] rest also has
ceased from [the weariness and pain] of human labors, just as God rested from
those labors peculiarly His own. [Gen. 2:2.]

1 Peter 5:8‭-‬9 AMPC
Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all
times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in
fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. Withstand him; be firm
in faith [against his onset–rooted, established, strong, immovable, and
determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your
brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.

We are Divinely Assisted by God to be relentless against the devil, to be
rooted, established, strong, determined and immovable…

“The relentless Christian is a good soldier of Christ who knows he is in a
warfare and puts on the whole armour of God in readiness for battle and keeps
the armour on because he knows satan is just waiting for an opportune time to
launch his attack”.

Ephesians 6:11-18 KJV
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the
wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the
breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench
all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the
word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching
thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Beloved of God, I believe more than ever before we Christians need to live our
day to day life Divinely aware of and Divinely sensitive to note things that are
not of God, nor from God.
It is not safe to be ignorant of the devices of the enemy or be careless around
him. Thank God for His Word and for the Holy Spirit: whatever does not pass the
test of God’s Word nor have the approval of the Holy Spirit we must not partake
in, nor participate in, nor relate with and God will help us in Jesus Name.

1 Thessalonians 5:21‭-‬23 AMPC
But test and prove all things [until you can recognize] what is good; [to that]
hold fast. Abstain from evil [shrink from it and keep aloof from it] in whatever
form or whatever kind it may be. And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you
through and through [separate you from profane things, make you pure and wholly
consecrated to God]; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved sound
and complete [and found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the
Messiah).

Romans 8:31‭-‬35‭,37AMPC What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us,
who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?] [Ps.
118:6.] He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for
us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other]
things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect [when it is] God Who
justifies [that is, Who puts us in right relation to Himself? Who shall come
forward and accuse or impeach those whom God has chosen? Will God, Who acquits
us?] Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who died, or
rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually
pleading as He intercedes for us? Who shall ever separate us from Christ’s love?
Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or
persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword? Yet amid all these
things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who
loved us.

Let us prayer:
– Pray and receive fresh baptism of Divine sensitivity and awareness.
– Pray that you will not suffer the consequences, nor be a victim of dullness of
perception. That you will be aware of any device, strategy or craft that the
enemy can use against you in any form and know the right steps to take to
counter and cancel it. In Jesus Name. Amen.
