ABOUT OUR CHAPTER

Founded in 1949 by a dedicated group of hobbyists, the GERMANY PHILATELIC
SOCIETY has become a community of collectors, exhibitors, jurors and postal
historians for philatelic material of 'Germany & Areas', or related in some way
in history to Germany. Our members are located worldwide, albeit our society is
North American-based.

 

For Chicago & Suburbs, CHICAGOLAND CHAPTER 5 is the local chapter for the
Society, albeit members of Chapter 5 do not have to be members of the national
Germany Philatelic Society. Meetings are once a month for social activities and
special programs on a wide variety of subjects. Everyone from novice to advanced
collector is invited to attend the meetings and consider joining. Members of the
Chapter must also be members of the national Germany Philatelic Society.
