Invisible.
Invaluable.
Infrastructure is more than towers, wires and pipes. It’s a competitive
advantage for clients seeking to accelerate growth, eliminate carbon emissions,
and harden systems so they work no matter what. At Black & Veatch, we work
behind the scenes to keep our clients ahead of the curve.

Invisible.
Invaluable.
You're seeing more electric vehicles on the streets, but what's not as visible
is the need for more charging stations. Black & Veatch designs, engineers, and
constructs some of the largest EV charging networks, and leads the way with
next-generation solutions that recharge fleet vehicles quickly and reliably.

Invisible.
Invaluable.
You can’t see hydrogen, a zero-carbon fuel that emits only water, but you can’t
look past its potential as the world confronts its energy challenges. Black &
Veatch is developing the first U.S. hydrogen power generation conversion
project, having already developed the first major hydrogen fueling station.

Invisible.
Invaluable.
Reliable transactions are the lifeblood of business, and our world. Black &
Veatch helps major banks and financial institutions fortify infrastructure and
data centers to ensure continual access, greater reliability and sustainability.
We plan, design and build the systems everyone depends on.

Invisible.
Invaluable.
We rely on water for so many things — for food, for power, and for life itself.
Black & Veatch makes water supplies more resilient, more affordable for
customers, and more sustainable. With new digital tools, we can modernize
infrastructure to improve planning, investments, and sustainability.

Invisible.
Invaluable.
Like magic, mobile devices connect us with the world. What you don’t see are the
45,000 miles of fiber we’ve deployed, and the 150,000 wireless sites. Black &
Veatch works behind the scenes to deliver end-to-end connectivity wherever it's
needed, enabling phone calls, instant access to the internet, and more.

Featured Projects
Tomahawk Creek Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrade
Faced with the need for a more efficient, sustainable treatment plant that could
adequately serve its growing population and meet new discharge regulations,
Johnson County Wastewater (JCW), located in the southwest portion of the Kansas
City metro area, turned to Black & Veatch to help expand its Tomahawk Creek
Wastewater Treatment facility, resulting in upgrades that saved the county
approximately $16 million a year.
A Strategic Sewer Separation and Green Infrastructure Solution for Omaha
The fresh water in the lagoon sparkles in the sunlight. It’s stocked for fishing
and rimmed by trails, gathering spaces, and native wetland plants.
Inconspicuously, it’s also ready to receive and store excess stormwater. Planned
and designed by Black & Veatch, the stormwater lagoon at Fontenelle Park in
northeast Omaha is natural infrastructure and an invaluable piece of the city’s
strategy to protect Missouri River water quality and enhance the lagoon’s use.
Black & Veatch Lends Expertise to First Ever Public Private Partnership for a
Broadband Network
KentuckyWired is the commonwealth of Kentucky’s public infrastructure project to
provide high-speed, high-capacity internet service to every county in the state.
Broadband, widely considered an essential utility service, will improve quality
of life for Kentucky residents through economic growth and improved services,
like education and health care.
Electric Island: Providing the Pathway to Carbon-Free Trucking
In a sector accelerating toward decarbonization for the long haul, Electric
Island, located near Daimler Trucks North America’s (DTNA) headquarters in
Portland, Oregon, showcases how to power electric vans, trucks and buses today,
and will also serve as grounds for innovation and testing.
A Story of Collaboration, Vision of Renewable Energy
Meet Cardinal Point Wind, a sprawling wind farm that’s testament to the
zero-carbon development vision of Canada-based Capital Power, the project’s
owner. And it’s symbolic of the collaboration and trust between that wholesale
power generator and Black & Veatch, a global renewable energy solutions leader
that stepped up to the challenge of erecting the farm.
Advanced Combined Cycle Facility Delivers Value to Community, Environment,
Investors
