What types of content can I register on the Royal Protocol?



The Royal Protocol is initially focused on music, but it is designed to support
any type of digital content. This includes videos, images, text, and more. As
the protocol evolves, it will expand to accommodate a broader range of creative
works. The protocol is open source, which means anyone can build new apps using
our technical standards.

How does the Royal Protocol ensure the provenance of content?



Royal is currently partnering with third party AI platforms such as Suno that
sign a proof of creation at the source, helping ensure that the content being
registered originates from the creator’s account. When that content is
registered on the Royal protocol, its content hash is recorded on the blockchain
and forever linked to the protocol account of the author. If someone registers
content directly on the protocol (not through a third party partner), they are
making an immutable time-stamped claim that they are the originator of such
content.

Does registering my content on the Royal Protocol grant me legal rights or
protections?



The Royal Protocol offers a new standard for registering provenance of content;
it does not provide any legal guarantees. We are not legal counsel, and since
AI-generated content is still a developing area of law, there are currently no
established legal precedents tied to registration. The Royal team is
communicating deeply with content distributors to begin establishing a new
standard for content authenticity.
