HOW DOES THE PERFECT GIFTTM PREPAID CARD WORK?

The Perfect GiftTM prepaid cards can be used wherever Visa or Mastercard cards
are accepted. To use the card at a point-of-sale terminal, simply swipe the
magstripe on the back of the card and sign the receipt. Each time the Visa or
Mastercard prepaid card is used, the purchase amount, including taxes and any
other charges, is deducted from the available balance until that balance reaches
zero. Once the entire card amount has been spent, it can no longer be used as a
method of payment.

DO I NEED TO REGISTER MY CARD FOR ONLINE, MAIL OR TELEPHONE PURCHASES?

Yes, online, mail and telephone order merchants often require that personal
information, including name, address, telephone number, and email address of the
cardholder be verified with the card-issuing financial institution prior to
purchase. If you wish to make online, mail, or telephone order purchases, you
should go to theperfectgift.ca to register your card. Unless you register your
card in advance, there may be no way an online, mail, or telephone order
merchant can confirm your identity. Without such confirmation, the merchant
might decline your purchase even if there are sufficient funds on the card.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT THE BALANCE IS ON MY THE PERFECT GIFT PREPAID CARD?

You can check your balance online at theperfectgift.ca or by calling
1-855-288-0926. A merchant will not be able to tell you how much money you have
remaining on the Mastercard prepaid card. Knowing your balance before shopping
will help ensure that the Visa or Mastercard prepaid card has enough funds
available to pay for your purchases.

CAN I MAKE A PURCHASE FOR MORE THAN THE AMOUNT REMAINING ON MY THE PERFECT GIFT
PREPAID CARD?

Some merchants permit ‘split transactions’. If you wish to use your card for a
purchase that is greater than the balance associated with your card and the
seller permits split transactions, you must charge only the exact amount
available on the card to the card. Then you must pay the difference using
another payment method. The merchant may require payment for the difference in
cash rather than accepting another card, such as a credit or debit card. Some
merchants may not accept these ‘split transactions’. If you fail to inform the
merchant that you want to perform a split tender transaction prior to completing
the transaction, your card is likely to be declined.

CAN I USE MY THE PERFECT GIFT PREPAID CARD AT FUEL STATIONS, RESTAURANTS, ONLINE
OR OVER THE PHONE?

Yes, however you should be aware your Visa or MasterCard prepaid card may not be
accepted at automated fuel pumps. You can pay for your fuel purchase with the
station attendant rather than swiping your Visa prepaid card at the pump. Your
Visa prepaid card should not be used for recurring transactions.

Some merchants, like hotels, restaurants, and mail-order companies factor in an
automatic service charge or additional expenses when using a prepaid card. These
merchants may require that the card have an available balance greater than the
purchase amount to ensure sufficient funds for tips or incidental expenses.
Should this occur, inform the cashier that you wish to deduct a specific amount
from the Visa prepaid card and use another form of payment for the balance or
tip.

Cardholders can use the Visa or Mastercard prepaid card for online or phone
purchases, but will need to be sure the name, address, and phone number on the
Visa prepaid card account information is exactly the same as the information
given to the merchant. If the information is different, the purchase could be
declined.

WHAT ARE MY SPENDING LIMITS ON MY CARD?

*Limits:
Maximum card balance: $500 CAD
Maximum single spend: $500 CAD

*Effective August 7, 2020, the maximum spend in a single transaction at
merchants located in the ƚEuropean Economic Area will be limited to $75 CAD. If
you experience a decline at a merchant located in this region, please try again
for an amount equal to or less than $75 CAD. The maximum spend over the lifetime
of the Card in this region is $225 CAD.

ƚEuropean Economic Area subregion includes the following countries, islands, and
territories: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus,
Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland,
Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway,
Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Canary Islands,
Ceuta, Melilla, Azores, Madeira, Aland Islands, Jan Mayen, French Guiana,
Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion, Saint Martin (French Part), and Mayotte. Please
note that the United Kingdom and all legal jurisdictions under the United
Kingdom are exempt from this definition of European Economic Area.

DOES MY PREPAID CARD EXPIRE?

No.

CAN I ADD ADDITIONAL FUNDS TO MY THE PERFECT GIFT PREPAID CARD?

No. The Perfect Gift prepaid card is non-reloadable, however you can earn Cash
Back when you shop at participating merchants.

HOW CAN I EARN MONEY BACK BY USING MY CARD?

When you shop at participating merchants, you will receive Cash Back equivalent
to a certain percentage (up to 5%) of your purchase amount (including sales tax)
to your card balance. Visit theperfectgift.ca for a list of participating
merchants and the money back percentage offered by each merchant.

WHEN WILL MY EARNINGS BE ADDED TO MY CARD BALANCE?

Earnings generally will be added to your card balance within 48 hours of the
purchase, but could take up to 10 days. If your earnings have not been added to
your card within 48 hours, please call. Do not reach out directly to merchant
partners.

WILL I EARN MORE MONEY BACK WHEN I SPEND THE MONEY THAT HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE
CARD?

Yes. You can continue to earn money back until the balance on your card is less
than 10 cents. At that point, you will stop earning money back (because 5% of an
amount less than 10 cents is less than half a cent, and your Cash Back earnings
are rounded to the nearest whole cent).
