Public Notice: Post Election Day



The final Canvas of votes was conducted on November 10, 2023. Provisional
Ballots, Damaged Ballots, and Military Ballots were scanned and tallied.

Military absentee ballots postmarked no later than November 6 must be received
by November 14, 2023. Military Ballots received after the Canvas on November 10,
2023 will be scanned and tallied on November 14, 2023. Results will be posted on
November 16th at 12:00 p.m.

Adjudication of ambiguous marks, overvotes, and write-in votes will be finalized
on November 16th at 12:00 p.m. Results will be posted.

November 16th at 4:00 p.m., the Board of Elections will sign the Unofficial
Returns. At this time the Board of Elections will receive petitions for a
recanvassing (recount) of votes. Petitions for recanvassing must be received by
November 21st at 4:00 p.m., and costs may be associated. For more information on
petitioning the Board of Elections for a recount, contact Karen Chillcott at
814-451-6303.

Recanvassing, if necessary, will occur in Room 112 of the Erie County Courthouse
on November 21 and 22, 2023.

On November 27, 2023, the Board of Elections will meet to certify the results of
the November 7th Municipal Election, and a public notice of the meeting will be
made available.

Public Notice:
The casting of lots for candidates receiving tie votes will occur Tuesday,
November 21st at 10:0 a.m. at the Erie County Courthouse, 140 W. 6th Street room
114A. Candidates may appear in person or send a representative. The results of
the casting of lots will be posted.
