Established in 1980, our experienced staff are on hand to help you with anything
parts you may require.

We are accredited members of VACC, APRAA (Auto Parts Recyclers Association of
Australia) and preferred suppliers to Capricorn Society. All Makes and models
and all ages of cars, vans and light commercial vehicles are recycled.

With over 9 acres of vehicles and 1000 sq. feet of parts warehouse, you’re bound
to find the part you need. Parts available include, engines, gearboxes,
differentials, panels, cosmetic accessories and much, much more…..




SELF SERVE SUCCESS TIPS

We make the following recommendations to ensure a successful self serve auto
parts purchasing experience:

 * Bring your tools, entry fee, ID and sample parts or photo of sample parts you
   require
 * Allow yourself sufficient time to find and remove the parts you require.
   Don’t arrive at yard entry closing time
 * Check our prices online or with sales staff prior to removing any parts
 * Use our trolleys for lifting heavy parts (trolleys are free). Find and return
   them to reception after use.
 * Stay clear of any mobile plant or equipment operating in the yard
 * Bring a friend to help you lift large or heavy parts. Trolleys are available.
   Ask at Reception
 * Bring the correct hand and battery operated tools for the job

 * Bring a flashlight, lubricating spray and an extension handle are useful
   tools
 * Bring the right size vehicle and/or trailer to take your parts home
 * Bring the correct work clothes and foot wear. Thongs or open toes shoes not
   permitted in yard
 * Jacks, power tools, sabre saws and oxy torches are not permitted on site
 * There are no compressed air or mains power services available
 * Fault only warranty applies. Ensure you obtain and retain you your receipt as
   proof of purchase.

 * Remove surrounding parts carefully as they may be parts required by another
   customer.
 * Do not unnecessarily remove parts you don’t intend to purchase as another
   customer may require them
 * Carefully find out the details of your car (Year, Make, Model, Body, Engine
   Size)
 * Some genuine parts are interchangeable. Do your research and increase the
   chance of finding the part you need.
 * Return parts you have disassembled from the car back into the same car in
   case someone else needs them.

Due to our large turnover of vehicles and parts, we are unable to give any
guarantee the vehicle or part you require will be in our yard on any given day
and time.

Licensed Motor Car Traders Act.

ENVIRONMENTAL OBLIGATION

Effective 1/7/21 the new Victorian EPA Protection Act 2017 places obligations on
owners (Businesses & Individuals) of Statutory & Repairable Written Off Vehicles
to dispose of their industrial waste (T325 End of Life Vehicle) at a lawful
place. Imlachs is a lawful place where you can dispose of your written off
vehicle and comply with your environmental obligation. EPA APP003343

ENVIROMENTALLY FRIENDLY

We remove all oils, fuels, LPG tanks and batteries from vehicles upon arrival on
site to protect our environment.

The yard is pretty big and we got almost everything we wanted for less than I
would've ended up paying elsewhere.

Worth noting though that there's not much point to getting hood/boot struts for
the price and the cars are on the ground, so one part I was looking for, a
towbar for a particular car, was basically half underground in mud and
inaccessible

Hands down the best wreckers you can go too fair prices and the staff are good
people

I also left my battery ratchet behind some bloke found it. they called me the
next day saying your tool was found

Great range and prices. They always have what we need.

Issue: Many have their wheels removed, and rather than putting them on blocks,
they sit in the dirt. This makes it hard to remove some parts!

The idea is great - self serve parts removal helps keep the prices down. What
isn’t so great is that you don’t know which parts/components of the car are
left, which gives it more of a lottery feel. Some type of inventory would help,
eg list of parts that have been removed so far. Not sure why they need to
collect home address and mobile number, seems a bit excessive.
