Welcome to the website of Adnalms Järnvägar, incorporating the FLMJ Swedish
model railway, Adnalms Järnvägsklubb (the club) and Adnalms Järnvägsförening
(the friends). For roundly 30 years we maintained and operated the FLMJ in the
garden around a home in England, but which closed at the end of the summer 2018
timetable due to relocation – to Sweden. The relocation is taking a little
longer than we would have liked, but it is in progress; and we hope for early
2023 for the first ‘news’ about a new railway!

As interest in the old railway grew, so did the content of our website, and it
now serves two primary functions: to bring you the news from our modelling
activities (which we will try to do in both languages), and to provide a lot of
Swedish Railway information in English – because it is already available
elsewhere on the internet in Swedish! We will also ‘give a mention’ to
forthcoming events within the Railway calendar that are either happening here in
Sweden, or in Britain where they are in some way connected with Swedish
railways, for example with the Scandinavian Railways Society and/or with a
Swedish layout understood to be on display. (We are retaining the UK web-address
for this reason – for the time being, at least.)

Adnalms Järnvägar owns the assets, and will appoint a manager (as before) to
take control. The Club (Adnalms Järnvägsklubb) will be re-established, but based
in Sweden, comprising friends who wish to volunteer with the Railway’s
development, maintenance and operation. The Friends (Adnalms Järnvägsförening)
is already based in England (mostly) and are friends who were supporting or
involved with the previous Railway’s development, or have taken an interest more
recently. Some now have their own Swedish layouts and we will continue to
support them.

An archive of the old website is still available at http://www.adnalm.org.uk/old

For enquiries about the development of the eventual new railway you can contact
us at ajf-AT-adnalm-DOT-org-DOT-uk – which you’ll need to type manually in the
correct style.
