Agriculture in Assam is considered as the most valued enterprise playing a
pivotal role state’s economy contributing about 19% to the Gross State Domestic

OUR SERVICES

REV. B. M. PUGH LIBRARY

The Library, renowned as the hub of agricultural and related knowledge, was
founded in 1969 and is situated at the university's headquarters in Jorhat. It
caters to a wide audience including students, educators, researchers, and staff
from various colleges such as the College of Agriculture, College of Community
Science, College of Horticulture, and College of Sericulture. Additionally, it
serves the broader university community as a valuable resource centre.

ONLINE EXAM CENTER

The AAU online examination facility, inaugurated during 2021-22, is situated on
the third floor of the Rev. B. M. Pugh Library, AAU. This initiative was
implemented to address the need for adaptable and secure examination procedures,
ensuring the continuity of academic endeavours during the COVID-19 pandemic and
continuing to be a priority today. The centre boasts 150 computers with
comprehensive network connectivity to facilitate efficient and reliable academic
pursuits.

LANGUAGE LAB

The AAU Language Lab, established as part of the Institutional Development Plan
of the National Agricultural Higher Education Project (IDP, NAHEP), serves the
students across all four colleges on the AAU campus. Dr. R.C. Agrawal, DDG
(Education) at ICAR, New Delhi, inaugurated the lab on April 2nd, 2022. Its
primary objective is to serve as a hub for improving linguistic proficiency,
communication abilities, and practicing soft skills. The lab is outfitted with
20 computers specifically tailored for language learning purposes

MEDICAL UNIT

The Medical Unit at Assam Agricultural University offers superior medical
assistance, placing utmost importance on prioritizing patient care with the
motto 'Patients come First'. By delivering results that assist both physicians
and patients, the Medical Unit team is dedicated to providing optimal clinical
care. They ensure precision and timeliness in results through the implementation
of processes, methods, and technology that adhere to the highest standards.
Constantly striving for improvement, they aim to enhance the quality of all
processes and services that contribute to patient care.
