Gathering of many outside of J.C. Penny Company
Welcome to the Robert & Elizabeth Dole Archive & Special Collections The Dole
Archives has one of the nation’s largest collections of papers and artifacts for
a nonpresidential politician, containing the records of Bob and Elizabeth Dole’s
careers in politics and public service. These records include a wide variety of
topics in government, politics, and domestic and international affairs of the
latter half of the 20th century. The Archives also includes photo collections
consisting of over 25,000 images, audiovisual materials, and an extensive
collection of oral histories, as well as art, artifacts and textiles. Use the
search and browse tools above to explore our collections, or see a list of all
finding aids available for research. If you haven't already, visit the Dole
Archives website to learn more about us and to see other digital materials, and
always feel free to contact us with any questions you might have.
 
Searching tips:
 * The search engine looks for all records matching your keywords.
 * Use double quotes around your search query to search for an exact phrase.
   (Example: "Americans with Disabilities")
 * Use a minus sign before a term you want to omit from your results. For
   example, a search for 'food -stamps' will find 'food for peace' but not 'food
   stamps'.
