To help administrators support hands-on science in the classroom. SERVICES OFFERED At this time most services would be offered virtually. Some content will be available on-line. TRAININGS Trainings would be tailored to the identified needs of the individual or groups. Some examples include * Administrator training to help recognize what to expect in a standards-based*, hands-on science lesson and how to support and encourage 21st century science instruction. Teacher trainings * how to align current practices with standards* * create units, lessons and activities based on the standards* * integrate math into science lessons * drive science inquiry using children’s literature * incorporate models into science units * scaffold student designed investigation into units * develop standards -based* assessment. *NGSS or other standards CONSULTATIONS Consultations with individuals or groups would be designed for specific purposes and could include but are not limited to- * Best starting points to support science instruction, using standards-based *curricula in designing units, integration of math in science, science classroom organization and improvement, equipment and other necessary tools. * Roadmap design for science education in your school or district. * Classroom support * Inclusive classroom implementation * Standards based assessment *NGSS or other standards LESSONS AND UNITS Lessons will be offered in video format. Supplemental video lessons, print units and supporting materials will be available through the website.
