THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY INSPECTOR GENERAL

In accordance with Title 50 U.S.C.A. Section 3033, the Inspector General of the
Intelligence Community (IC IG) conducts independent and objective audits,
investigations, inspections, and reviews to promote economy, efficiency,
effectiveness, and integration across the Intelligence Community.

PRIVACY AND CIVIL LIBERTIES

The Office of Civil Liberties, Privacy and Transparency (CLPT) leads the
integration of civil liberties and privacy protections into the policies,
procedures, programs and activities of the Intelligence Community (IC). Its
overarching goal is to ensure that the IC operates within the full scope of its
authorities in a manner that protects civil liberties and privacy, provides
appropriate transparency, and earns and retains the trust of the American
people.

 

To report a potential civil liberties and privacy violation or file a complaint,
please review the requirements at the CLPT homepage.

 


EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY COMPLAINTS

The Intelligence Community Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity (EEOD)
Office is responsible for the overall management of the ODNI EEO and Diversity
Program, and provides IC-wide oversight and guidance in developing,
implementing, and measuring progress in EEO, diversity, and inclusion.

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT REQUESTS

The goal of the ODNI Freedom of Information Act / Privacy Act Office is to keep
the public better informed about the agency’s efforts and to ensure U.S.
security through the release of as much information as possible, consistent with
the need to protect classified or sensitive information under the exemption
provisions of these laws.

Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity tackles some of the most
difficult challenges across the intelligence agencies and disciplines, and
results from its programs are expected to transition to its IC customers. IARPA
does not have an operational mission and does not deploy technologies directly
to the field.

The Tet Offensive was a series of surprise attacks launched by the North
Vietnamese Army and the Viet Cong on January 30, 1968. Fifty years later,

THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY

The DNI serves as the head of the Intelligence Community. The U.S. Intelligence
Community is a coalition of 18 agencies and organizations, including the ODNI,
within the Executive Branch that work both independently and collaboratively to
gather and analyze the intelligence necessary to conduct foreign relations and
national security activities.
