From April 1,2024 SASSA SRD R350 is upgraded to R370 with an increment of R20
for all of its Social Relief of Distress beneficiaries in South Africa. To apply

HOW TO CHECK SASSA RECONSIDERATION STATUS?

If you have reapplied for SASSA application after rejection or applied for SASSA
Reconsideration through reapplication portal, you can check the current status
through simply logging into your account.

* Track the SASSA application by providing the required information.
* Enter “ send pin” button to receive SASSA status check OTP Code on your
phone.
* Add the code to same page and view your reconsideration status the next
second online.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR THIS SRD GRANT?

If you have not still applied for SRD Grant, you should follow these steps to
make SASSA Application on official website

1. Log in to srd.sassa.gov.za, the official South African Grant website
2. Open “How do I apply for SRD Grant”.
3. Click “Click here to apply”
4. Enter your SRD Registered Mobile number and enter “Send SMS”
5. Receive the SASSA OTP Code on your cell phone
6. Enter this SRD OTP code in your online official form to login.
7. Proceed the application on srd.sassa.gov.za to complete further steps.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR R350 GRANT

Applicant must meet following eligibility criteria to approve his SASSA
application.

One must :

1. Be citizen, permanent resident or refugee of South Africa.
2. Residing in South Africa
3. Applicant and his spouse must comply with the means test of official SASSA
website.
4. Submit the correct identity verification documents including 13-digit id
card bar code to qualify.
5. Should not have applied for any other Social Relief Grant for himself before
applying to SRD.
6. Person applying for Older persons grant should not be less than 60 years of
age according to https://srd.sassa.gov.za/, the official website

R350 PAYMENT APPROVED BUT NOT RECEIVED

If your srd payment is approved but still not received, cross check the
following important requirements to view what is missing.

1. Check your preferred payment method is entered and banking details is
correct.
2. If your banking details are incorrect, crawl on changing bank details link
to enter the correct details.
3. Check if provided phone number is correct. If it needs to get changed, click
change SASSA phone number link.

If everything is up-to-date, then be patient and wait. It might be some Postbank
technical issue, bank or national holiday as a cause of delay for payment grant.
