Ilse Carr & Isabelle Carr
Ilse and Isabelle is a mom and daughter team. Ilse made all Isabelle's
competition leotards when she competed for South Africa internationally from
2002 to 2010. After her studies to become a marine biologist, diving in
Thailand, Maldives and Vanuatu and coaching gymnastics in New Zealand, Isabelle
came back to SA and completed a teaching diploma. During her first year of
teaching Isabelle started her club, GRIP gymnastics. After a year and a half of
teaching, Isabelle resigned to do become a full time coach.
Out of this the necessity was born to produce leotards again. This has grown
into a small business, where we currently supply GRIP Gymnastics Club and one
other club in Stellenbosch. We occasionally sell at markets but mostly from the
"little CONFETTI CLOUD shop" at the GRIP gymnastics hall in Hermanus.
Our activewear is made with love and the best quality lycra we can lay our hands
on. The garments are sewn by individuals working from their homes in the
Overberg area around Hermanus, South Africa.
