#QUITTHESTICK ANTI-VAPING EVENT ORGANIZED BY STUDENTS FOR STUDENTS DURING GREAT
AMERICAN SMOKEOUT ON NOVEMBER 16

West Chester University marketing students are fuming that vaping is inhaling an
entire nation with more than 2.1 million youth and about one-third of college
students currently using e-cigarettes (National Youth Tobacco Survey, 2023 and
Respiratory Care, 2023).

WCU CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK

One of the highlights of International Education Week, celebrated this year from
November 13 to 18, will be a ribbon-cutting for a new space within the Global
Engagement Office: a new Global Engagement Center on the fourth floor of
Mitchell Hall. The official opening will take place on Tuesday, November 14, at
11 a.m.

WCU OPERA THEATRE STAGES BEAUTY AND THE BEAST ON NOV. 17 & 18

West Chester University's Opera Theatre presents BEAUTY AND THE BEAST on Friday,
November 17, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, November 18, at 3 p.m. in the Emilie K.
Asplundh Concert Hall, Philips Memorial Building, 700 S. High Street, West
Chester. General Admission tickets are $7 for adults at
www.wcupatix.com/schoolofmusic. Tickets for faculty, staff, students, and
children under 12 are FREE.

UKRAINE

West Chester University's Department of Theatre & Dance presents the U.S.
Premiere of Me, War and Toy Grenade from November 16 - 19, 2023. WCU Professor
Leonard Kelly directs. Me, War and Toy Grenade runs Thursday - Saturday,
November 16 - 18, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 19, at 2:00 p.m., in the
J.P. Adler Studio Theatre, E.O. Bull Center for the Arts, 2 E. Rosedale Avenue,
West Chester. General admission tickets are $15, $12 for students and seniors
with valid I.D. at www.wcupatix.com.
