On numerous occasions when NBA Youngboy is seen on camera, he can be observed
smoking a cigarette. However, this habit is not just for show. During an
interview with Bootleg Kev, the rapper from Decided 2 shared that he first began
smoking at the tender age of 7, influenced by his godfather’s presence.

He stated, “You can tell there’s smoke in this part of the house,” as he lit
another cigarette. “I’ve been smoking cigarettes since I was 7 years old.”

“My god-dad, I think this guy ran away from the army. You know how you get a
home pass? And that guy ran away to New Orleans because he didn’t want to go
back.”

He continued, “I guess during the time as he was at the house, I used to be
watching that guy smoking cigarettes and every time he’d throw that thing, I’d
go grab it.”
