ABOUT ME

I always loved coding. When I was 12, I started using microcontrollers with
visual programming software. The most exciting thing about my 18th birthday was
officially registering as a freelancer. Years later, I'm still passionate about
programming and build my own apps while consulting other businesses.

DEVOPS @ CARTRIDGE

2023 – 2024



 * Cartridge is a blockchain company that develops and operates the open-source
   Dojo Engine, a blockchain-based gaming engine.
 * Dojo games are open-source, composable, extensible, permissionless,
   persistent, and tap into the power and economics of the blockchain.
 * I joined Cartridge to take over development operations, focusing on tooling
   that enables developers to interact with the Dojo Engine.
 * Additionally, I am learning Rust and Cairo to contribute to the Dojo Engine's
   development.



GO DEVELOPER @ HATCHET

2023 – 2024



 * Hatchet is a distributed, fault-tolerant task queue that replaces traditional
   message brokers and pub/sub systems, addressing issues like concurrency,
   fairness, and durability.
 * I joined Hatchet early on to accelerate the development of the first product
   version, focusing on webhook workers to enable use with serverless
   environments like Lambda, Vercel, and Cloudflare Workers.
 * I also set up e2e and performance tests, ensured clean code, and contributed
   to other CI/CD pipelines and improvements.

2019 – NOW



 * I currently maintain the Prisma Go client
 * Back in 2019, I started at Prisma to build the Go client from scratch, but
   eventually took over the project independently



GO DEVELOPER @ PRISMA

2019 – 2022



 * Prisma is a database toolkit to make the life of developers easier. It
   provides a fully type-safe abstraction over your database.
 * Primarily, I built Prisma's Go client which builds on top of their Rust
   database engine. Since Prisma focused on NodeJS for business reasons, I was
   responsible for all aspects which come with a new database client. It
   included product research and a lot feedback sessions with customers and
   companies, researching how the syntax could look like, planning and product
   management, and of course actually developing the Go client from the ground
   up.
 * Apart from working on the Go client, I helped Prisma in various aspects, such
   as end to end tests for our NodeJS client for an array cloud providers, bug
   fixes in our query engine written in Rust as well as our CLI, and a lot of
   involvement in product processes, CI/CD in and testing in many different
   places.

2020



 * Headroom is an AI-driven video conferencing tool which indexes all meetings
   and makes them searchable after they ended
 * I built the infrastructure on Google Cloud from the ground up, including
   setting up the Kubernetes cluster, networking via WebRTC, while managing all
   infrastructure with Terraform
 * The software also not just records everything and generates searchable text
   snippets, but also offers collaboration tools for notes and comments
 * Real-time facial recognition for participant happiness indicators to analyze
   to "read the room" virtually



FREELANCER

2016 – NOW



 * Design and build complete websites and apps with React, Vue and Angular
 * Build complex database structures managing thousands of records per second
   using Databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL
 * Expose client-first, fast, self-documenting and efficient APIs with GraphQL
 * Manage CI/CD, code review, deployment, code quality and monitoring tools for
   an efficient development flow
 * Administrate fault-tolerant and scalable object storage with Ceph as well as
   powerful edge computing with anycast/BGP
 * Orchestrate highly available clusters using Docker and Kubernetes which run a
   diverse set of applications on hundreds of nodes
 * Develop modern and native mobile apps with React Native

 * Developed apps and websites for local companies
 * Built Südsolution's company website
 * Südsolutions was a new startup in 2015, so I introduced new convenient tools
   & methods to the team
