BONN GERMANY


The DW Global Media Forum is organized by Deutsche Welle (DW), the German
international broadcaster. This forum brings together journalists, human rights
activists, and civil society members from around the world in Bonn, Germany. The
DW Global Media Forum serves as a platform for these participants to engage in
discussions, share insights, and collaborate on various issues related to media,
human rights, and civil society.

The DW Global Media Forum serves as a significant networking and
knowledge-sharing event, contributing to the advancement of journalism, the
protection of human rights, and the strengthening of civil society worldwide. It
is an essential platform for fostering international cooperation and promoting
free and independent media, making it a valuable initiative in the field of
global communication and human rights advocacy.

OXFORD UNIVERSITY : DIALOGUE ON GLOBAL PEACE

In the complex and turbulent context of the Middle East, Ukraine or in Kashmir.
It has become increasingly evident that war is not the solution to the
deep-seated conflicts that persist in the region. Instead, the path to achieving
global peace lies in conflict resolution and diplomacy. Media initiative
organizations have consistently raised their voices against the futility of
armed conflict and have been unwavering advocates for peace.

SEMINAR ON SDG'S

The underlying philosophy of the SDGs is to create a world where everyone can
live a fulfilling life, free from preventable diseases, hunger, and inequality.
Achieving this requires a holistic approach, addressing not just direct health
challenges but also the root socio-economic and environmental issues.

KASHMIR DAY EVENT

The people of Pakistan have unbreakable historical, cultural and religious bond
with the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir. The region of Jammu and Kashmir is
indeed, as described by Quaid-e-Azam, through his visionary statement the
“jugular vein of Pakistan”

RAPE & MURDER OF INNOCENT GIRLS

The alarming increase in cases of rape and murder of innocent girls in Pakistan
has become a grave concern, and media initiative organizations have been at the
forefront in raising their voices against these atrocities.

URGENT NEED OF PEACE DIALOGUE

In light of the deeply entrenched crises in the Middle East, which have
far-reaching implications for global peace, there is an urgent imperative to
take measures aimed at de-escalation and the restoration of a more peaceful
environment in the region.

EDUCATION IS FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT

Education is a basic human right that works to raise men and women out of
poverty, level inequalities and ensure sustainable development. But worldwide
244 million children and youth are still out of school for social, economic and
cultural reasons.

POVERTY JUMPED IN PAK

Poverty in Pakistan rose from 34.2% to 39.4% in just one year, with 12.5 million
more people falling below the poverty line of the $3.65 per day income level.
About 95 million Pakistanis now live in poverty. Pakistan also has the lowest
per capita income in South Asia and highest out-of-school kids in the world.

POVERTY ALLEVIATION

Poverty alleviation stands as a core objective of the Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs), reflecting the global commitment to eradicating poverty in all its
forms. The Media Initiatives organization, with its dedicated focus on this
critical goal, plays a pivotal role in addressing the multifaceted challenge of
poverty reduction. By organizing seminars and inviting a diverse array of
experts, including economists and bureaucrats, the organization is fostering a
dynamic platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration. These events provide a
unique opportunity for stakeholders to explore, discuss, and align the
mechanisms and strategies required to tackle poverty comprehensively.

UN 75TH ANNIVERSARY ; CONVERSATION YEAR

Through these gatherings, the Media Initiatives organization facilitates the
exchange of best practices, evidence-based approaches, and innovative ideas to
address poverty. Economists bring valuable insights into the economic aspects of
poverty, while bureaucrats offer on-the-ground perspectives and insights into
the implementation of policies. By bridging these diverse perspectives, the
organization not only contributes to the dissemination of knowledge but also
promotes synergy among various stakeholders, fostering a more coordinated and
effective approach to poverty reduction. Such initiatives are essential in the
broader global effort to make substantial progress toward SDG 1, ultimately
improving the lives of millions and working towards a world where poverty is no
longer a barrier to human potential and well-being.

INSIGHT SHARING

The DW Global Media Forum is indeed an annual event organized by Deutsche Welle
(DW), the German international broadcaster. This forum brings together
journalists, human rights activists, and civil society members from around the

1,500 participants attending each year, the forum offers a unique opportunity
for mutual interaction and exchange of ideas. Participants come from diverse

advocates, making it a dynamic and interdisciplinary gathering. They can discuss
pressing global challenges, media innovation, the role of journalism in society,
and human rights issues, among other topics.
