LOOLA AND SUSTAINABILITY

Our guests often ask us:
Can we make our stay both fun and meaningful?

The answer is a big YES !

Built in 2000, LooLa is run by our fully local staff, who help our guests engage
with the local community. They will be very happy to bring you on a a quick eco
tour to share LooLa's sustainability features, but also to show you how you can
make your holiday in LooLa into a life-changing carbon-positive one!

You can email us to find out how many trees you must plant to make your trip
carbon neutral. With the answer in hand, you can then ask our staff to help you
select healthy mangrove seedlings and subsequently plant them –planting
mangroves at night between the spooky trees is a blast for the whole family! If
you are a group of 5 or more people, we will buy a magnificent Nazava water
filter as part of your package. This filter will provide clean drinking water
for life to a local family. We very much encourage you to meet the family and
deliver the filter in person, so you can jointly understand and celebrate the
key importance of clean water. You will leave Bintan knowing that your family
had an amazing time, while you made a true difference for a local family whom
you could stay in touch with!
