Happy Monday, sports fans.
Both of NC State's basketball programs survived the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight. On
the women's side, the No. 3 Wolfpack was the first team to send a top seed home
after beating Texas, while the 11th-seeded upstarts on the men's side dispatched
No. 4 Duke. Hopefully you've got some of your Final Four intact in your brackets
in advance of next weekend's intriguing Final Four. Meanwhile, the last two
weeks of the NBA regular season kicks off tonight with a six-game slate.

76ERS STAR JOEL EMBIID IS CLOSE TO RETURNING FROM KNEE INJURY
The Philadelphia 76ers could receive some much-needed reinforcements this week.
According to a report from The Athletic's Shams Charania, Embiid could make his
return on Tuesday when the Sixers play the Thunder in Oklahoma City. Embiid has
been out of the lineup since Jan. 30 due to a left meniscus injury that needed
surgery. Without Embiid this season, the Sixers are 14-27, but overall they're
40-35. They currently hold the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference, and are in
danger of having to participate in the Play-In Tournament.
Here's more from CBS Sports NBA writer Jasmyn Wimbish on how the Sixers have
struggled without Embiid:
 * Wimbish: "While only two games separate the No. 8 Sixers and the No. 6
   Indiana Pacers, unless they close that gap, it appears that the road to the
   postseason for Philly will have to start with the Play-In Tournament. But, if
   Embiid returns healthy this, no one will want to face a Sixers team at full
   strength. Prior to Embiid's injury, the Sixers had the third-best net rating
   in the league, and Embiid was well on his way to win the MVP for the second
   straight year."
