Firstly, Yonex Exbolt 63 badminton string is one of the strings that you can
feel thin which is 0.63mm, at the same time come with longer durability. Most of
the badminton players when heard about this string, will feel the string is kind
of thin, but after using it, surprisingly it’s more durable than other Yonex
thicker string like Yonex BG66 Ultimax, normally most of the players know that
BG66UM stringbed can be easily soft which is drop tension after few games.

If you are a regular player using Yonex Exbolt 63, probably you can feel that
the stringbed itself is stiffer compared to any other thicker string.

“Review by Eric:-  I have used this Exbolt 63 badminton string quite some time
with a tension of 26lbs for my casual games, stringbed stiff enough. The
stiffness is like Ultimax 28lbs, control is excellent, normally as well known
thinner string very bouncy, this string is not.

IS YONEX EXBOLT GOOD FOR ALL LEVEL PLAYER?

For this Exbolt 63 badminton new string can be suit all levels of player, the
only thing is tension set. Like some beginner players, they have no knowledge
about how to set the right tension. For example, they choose Exbolt 63 badminton
stringing and set the tension at 28lbs. What is the outcome? they will feel this
string is not good, no repulsion, hard to generate strength when playing etc.

This is why sometimes when we saw a new member they select Exbolt 63 badminton
stringing, and set the tension at 28-30lbs, normally we will request a video of
the play. This helps us determine their current level and also helps us to
confirm 30lbs of tension is a mistake or randomly chooses the tension.

We are not saying that casual player cannot set high tension, but really depend
on their level, as we do not close one eye to collect money, and do stringing
this type of stringer. Our mission is to help out every player to make sure they
are really enjoying our professional stringing instead of just paying money for
the string, and they totally do not enjoy it. This string can be suited for all
levels of players if choosing the right tension.


IS YONEX EXBOLT 63 EASILY BROKEN?

This string Yonex Exbolt 63 from a professional point of view, the durability
can be better than BG66 Ultimax or Victor VBS 66 Nano. Why? Actually, the
coating is quite unique, you will feel the durability is very good. Also, the
stringbed stiffness is much stiffer than another similar gauge 0.63mm string.

This string is not a soft type of string, more to hard feeling type. So more
suitable for players who like stiffer stringbed. Exbolt 63 badminton string can
use the word as unique because the normally thinner string 0.63mm the stringbed
is more to soft type, for beginner use. But this Exbolt 63 you will feel is
hard, stiff, and durable. Suitable for intermediate and above level who like
more control and repulsion.

Is Yonex Exbolt 63 worth trying? Yes. As this string is the first Yonex string
that comes with this gauge of 0.63mm, also the feature is unique, the thin
string comes with a hard and durable feeling which most other brands are not
able to do so.


YONEX EXBOLT 63 BADMINTON STRINGING JURONG

In our badminton stringing in Jurong experiences, we saw many so call “beginner”
level players like to choose the thinnest string and select high tension, is
this the right way? No. Do not ever try this, this is the stupidest way to do
stringing. Why? Normally if the thinner string can provide high repulsion, but
if you strung at high tension like 28 to 29lbs, this can take away the
repulsion.

This means no repulsion and you are the ones to spoil the string feature. High
tension actually is not good for beginners, not saying that we are looking down
on beginners, but this is totally not useful to them. When they are strung at
high tension, they will not improve any skill or performance. Most of them want
to string at high tension because they “imagine” the sound must be very crisp,
like a “Pro”, NO. This indirectly shows that you are totally a beginner.

 Our Master Racquet Technician and Certified Stringer is also one of the
Certified badminton coach in Singapore. He feels that the best way to choose
badminton string is according to player level, strength, try to coordinate with
the stringer, provide video of play if required.
