GET VACCINATED
COVID-19 vaccination is safe and effective. It protects you and loved ones
against the virus. You are also less likely to fall severely ill if you get
infected.
As of 17 January 2022, 88% of our population has completed their full regimen/
received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines, 90% has received at least one dose, and
53% has received booster shots. So don’t hesitate. Get your vaccination today.
It is easy and hassle-free.
Vaccine Booster Programme
To maintain the high level of vaccine protection, we have rolled out the vaccine
booster programme for persons aged 18 and above who have received both doses
from about 5 months ago.
If you are 18 and above, and have received your 2nd shot at least 5 months ago -
but have yet to receive your SMS notification - you may walk-in to a vaccination
centre to receive your booster shot without prior appointment.
You should receive your booster dose no later than 270 days after the last dose
in the primary vaccination series.
From 14 Feb 2022, persons aged 18 years and above who have completed the primary
vaccination series and are eligible for booster vaccination will be considered
as fully vaccinated for 270 days after the last dose in their primary
vaccination series.
You do not need to choose the same mRNA vaccine you took for the previous two
doses; you may choose either the Pfizer-BioNTech/COMIRNATY or the Moderna
vaccine.

FALSEHOODS & CLARIFICATIONS
A video posted by Goh Meng Seng on 27 November 2021 on various online locations
on Facebook contained false and egregious claims about the Omicron variant of
the COVID-19 virus. In particular, there is currently no basis to conclude
that:
• The COVID-19 and HIV viruses could combine and become another air-borne virus;
and
• Omicron is vaccine-resistant, and vaccines are totally useless against it.
The Minister for Health has instructed the Protection from Online Falsehoods and
Manipulation Act (POFMA) Office to issue a Correction Direction to Goh Meng Seng
for these falsehoods. Goh is required to publish the correction notices as
specified by POFMA Office for each Facebook post containing the falsehoods.
The Government takes a serious view of these falsehoods and a police report has
been made in relation to the video.
We advise members of the public not to speculate and/or spread misinformation
which may cause public alarm, and to refer to credible sources of information
instead.

Persons of all ages who are eligible to receive the Sinovac-CoronaVac vaccine
are recommended to receive three doses of the vaccine as their primary
vaccination series. The second dose should be taken 28 days after the first
dose, while the third dose should be taken 90 days after the second dose.

From 24 Nov 2021, all Singaporeans, PRs, LT Pass Holders aged 30 years and above
who have completed their primary series 5 months ago will be able to receive
their booster doses. They may walk into any of the 9 vaccination centres
offering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, without a prior appointment.
