Men's
Health

Our practice provides comprehensive medical care for men. We believe it is a
good idea for every man to visit a Urologist in their forties for a baseline
evaluation. This includes an assessment of a man's urinary status, prostate
health, helpful dietary and lifestyle modifications, assessment of sexual
function, and address any other urological questions.

Prostate
Health

Prostate health refers to all aspects, functions and conditions that affect the
prostate and include prostate inflammation and infections such as prostatitis,
benign prostate enlargement (BPH), and screening, diagnosis and treatment of
prostate cancer. A prostate evaluation and examination is RECOMMENDED starting
in mid-late 40's (African American men or any men with a family history of
prostate cancer should start earlier.)

Kidney
Stones

Kidney stones are very common in our patient population. A number of factors
play a role, such as diet, sedentary lifestyle, and other metabolic conditions.
South Florida climate can also be a risk factor, largely due to heat and
humidity. Patients with a history of multiple kidney stones should have a
baseline metabolic evaluation to establish their risk factors and how to prevent
kidney stone formation.

Dr Diego Rubinowicz, founder of Urology Center of Palm Beach, is a Board
Certified Urologist who has been in private practice in Palm Beach County since
2001. He completed his residency training at the Univeristy of Miami/Jackson
Memorial Hospital.

Enlarged Prostate (BPH)

Dr. Diego Rubinowicz is recognized as a Rezūm Center of Excellence
Rezūm™ Water Vapor Therapy is a minimally invasive in-office procedure for men
looking to treat their BPH, not just the symptoms. It uses natural water vapor
to reduce the size of the prostate and provide lasting symptom relief from BPH
without invasive surgery or the potential side effects of prescription drugs.



Low Testosterone

Symptoms of low testosterone can be confused with other medical conditions. This
is why it is important to have a comprehensive workup addressing all possible
causes. Testosterone replacement should be monitored by the Urologist as there
are important markers, such as PSA, optimization of sexual function and libido,
which are best handled by the Urological professional.



Erectile Dysfunction

Sexual function changes over the years. At some point, most men experience a
deterioration in their ability to obtain and maintain an erection. However,
there are many medical conditions and medications which can affect or worsen the
problem. Risk factors for erectile dysfunction are similar to those of heart
disease. Erectile dysfunction (ED) in a relatively young man can be the first
sign of cardiovascular disease.
