2024 HOLIDAY RECESS CLOSURES

OHR HOURS AND CONTACT INFORMATION

The Office of Human Resources will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving
Recess from Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024, through Friday, Nov. 29, 2024.

The Office of Human Resources will be closed in observance of the University’s
Winter Recess from Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, through Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025.


OHR CUSTOMER SUPPORT DURING CLOSURES

To reach OHR throughout the Thanksgiving and Winter Recess closures,
please submit an online request.

During the Winter Recess, OHR representatives will monitor urgent
messages/inquiries submitted via online request 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the
following Recess days: Monday, Dec. 23, Thursday, Dec. 26, Friday Dec. 27,
Monday, Dec. 30, and Tuesday Dec. 31. Client Services will be closed Nov. 28 &
29, Dec. 24 & 25, and Jan. 1.

Benefits representatives can also be reached by submitting an online request and
via telephone at 833-852-2210 on Friday, Nov. 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on
Tuesday, Dec. 24 from 8 a.m. to noon. Benefits customer service will be closed
on Thursday, Nov. 28; Wednesday, Dec. 25; and Wednesday, Jan. 1. Unless
otherwise noted here, benefit representatives are available Monday - Friday 8:30
to 5 p.m.


NEW STAFF AND ALL-TEMPS INFORMATION

JOB REQUISITIONS AND RECRUITING

Positions posted to the career site that are set to expire over the Winter
Recess will be automatically extended through Jan. 31, 2024. If you do not wish
to have the position posting extended, please contact OHR by Friday, Dec. 6,
2024.

All open positions that require Child Protection Clearances must have a start
date on or after Jan. 6, 2025. Offers for positions requiring CPCs need to be
submitted by Dec. 6, 2024 in order to process for that timeframe.

ORIENTATIONS

The final new staff and All-Temps orientations of the calendar year takes place
Monday, Dec. 16, 2024.

The first new staff and All-Temps orientations of 2025 take place on Monday,
Jan. 6, 2025.

UPMC MYHEALTH@WORK CENTER

The UPMC MyHealth@Work Health and Wellness Center will be closed Thursday, Nov.
28, Friday, Nov. 29, Tuesday, Dec. 24, Wednesday, Dec. 25, Thursday, Dec. 26,
Tuesday, Dec. 31, and Wednesday, Jan. 1.

In the case of an emergency, please visit the closest emergency room.

Please visit the MyHealth@Work Health and Wellness Center webpage for more
information and to schedule an appointment, or call the Center at 412-647-4949
for any questions you may have.


UPMC MEMBER SERVICES (INCLUDING BMS AND EBENEFITS)

UPMC Member Services will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, Wednesday, Dec. 25,
and Wednesday, Jan. 1.
UPMC Member Services will be open on Friday, Nov. 29 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and
on Tuesday, Dec. 24 from 8 a.m. to noon.


DAVIS VISION BY MET LIFE CUSTOMER SERVICE

The Davis Vision by Met Life Customer Service call center will be closed on
Thursday, Nov. 28, Wednesday, Dec. 25 and Wednesday, Jan. 1.
Davis Vision by Met Life Customer Service will be open operating under reduced
hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, Friday, Nov. 29, Tuesday,
Dec. 24, and Tuesday, Dec. 31.


UNITED CONCORDIA CUSTOMER SERVICE

United Concordia Customer Service will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, Friday,
Nov. 29, Tuesday, Dec. 24, Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1.


TIAA

TIAA's customer service will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, Wednesday, Dec. 25,
and Wednesday, Jan. 1.


UNIVERSITY PENSION CENTER

The University Pension Center, which manages the defined benefit pension plan,
will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1.


THE HARTFORD

The Hartford's customer service will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, Wednesday,
Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1.


UNUM

Unum's customer service will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, Friday, Nov. 29,
Tuesday, Dec. 24, Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1.


METLIFE DISABILITY CALL CENTER

MetLife's Disability Call Center will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, Wednesday,
Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1.

They will be open operating under reduced hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on
Wednesday, Nov. 27, Friday, Nov. 29, Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Tuesday, Dec. 31.


CORESTREAM (PITTPERKS CUSTOMER SUPPORT)

Corestream, which administers customer support for PittPerks, will be closed on
Thursday, Nov. 28, Friday, Nov. 29, Tuesday, Dec. 24 through Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Note: During the holiday closure, for urgent inquiries the employee can send an
email to customercare@corestream.com with "Urgent" marked in the subject line. A
representative will respond within 24-48 hours.


AMPLIFON

Amplifon will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, Friday, Nov. 29, Tuesday, Dec. 24,
Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1.


SAVI

Savi student loan assistance customer service will be closed on Thursday, Nov.
28, Friday, Nov. 29, Tuesday, Dec. 24, Wednesday, Dec. 25, Tuesday, Dec. 31, and
Wednesday, Jan. 1.


CARE.COM

Care.com customer service will continue to offer regular 24/7 support during
Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's.
