THE GREATEST HITS PREMIERES ON NETFLIX

Grief is universally understood to be one of the most difficult emotions to
experience. Having to mourn the loss of something that was deeply cherished and
cared for, struggling to take things one day at a time until finally reaching a
day where things hurt less, feeling envious of others who do not understand the
pain you are in as they live their seemingly perfect and happy lives, it is all
apart of the messy, painful, character-building process of grief.

WEST GEORGIA OUTDOORS LAKE DAY GIVES STUDENTS A CHANCE TO DESTRESS BEFORE FINALS

It is important for students to have some fun before finals week and enjoy the
beautiful weather. West Georgia Outdoors (WGO) is giving students the chance to
have both with their Lake Day event. The event will be hosted on Saturday April
27 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at John Tanner State Park. Students are allowed to
drive themselves, but the school will provide a shuttle to the park every 30
minutes from the TLC bus stop. WGO has hosted Lake Days in the past, but with
this being so close to finals, it gives students more incentives to attend.

“THE TOXIC AVENGER” CLOSES UWG THEATRE’S “RESISTANCE IS FUTILE” SEASON

On April 17th the UWG Theatre Department opened their production of “The Toxic
Avenger,” a rock musical adaptation of the 1985 film by the same name. The
musical, directed by Shelly Elman, was a fantastic close to their “Resistance is
Futile” season dedicated to the late Alan Yeoung-Marcello. The audience was
constantly erupting in laughter and the small cast only added to the intimacy
and the humor of it all.

MONKEY MAN PACKS A PUNCH ACROSS THEATERS

Star actor Dev Patel made his directorial debut with “Monkey Man.” Produced by
horror director Jordan Peele, Patel’s film tells an amazing revenge story about
a man who is out to kill the man that murdered his mother. The title comes from
the character’s identity. When he was young, Kid learned about an Indian legend
named Hanuman who was a Hindu legend that was part monkey, part man. The story
inspired Kid.
