SENIOR PLATFORM ENGINEER / INFRASTRUCTURE SPECIALIST ON SITE (M/F/D)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 * Planning, Developing, and Maintaining a scalable CI/CD Infrastructure, to
   ensure a hassle-free Development lifecycle to quickly commit code to
   production
 * Bring advanced knowledge on Kubernetes and DevOps and drive the discussions
   and solutions
 * Writing modern, robust, maintainable, and efficient Continuous Integration
   and Deployment Pipelines for various software projects and programming
   languages (C++, Python, Go)
 * Strongly collaborate with your DevOps colleagues to ensure a proper design,
   implementation, testing, and verified/validated delivery of CI/CD templates
   for the Software Development Department at Agile Robots
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address
   platform-related challenges, providing innovative solutions and driving
   improvements.

Are you a tech aficionado with a passion for building scalable, robust, and
innovative platforms? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where
your expertise and creativity can make a real impact? If so, we have an exciting
opportunity for you! 

As a Senior Platform Engineer within the Software Platform Team, you will work
on providing a Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution to our developers.
Streamlining this process and providing a Golden Path, it will improve the
productivity of our developers and allow them to focus on writing code. This
includes implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions, GitOps, and CI/CD, as
well as synchronizing between the different development teams and identifying
current platform needs.

Please note this assignment requires you to be onsite in our European
Headquarters in Munich, Germany.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

At least 5 years of professional experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering
 * Advanced Experience with Gitlab CI, Github Actions, or Jenkins
 * Programming knowledge in Python or Go
 * Good communication skills in English
 * Self-motivated, work well independently and with others
 * Passion for software development of the highest quality
 * Excellent time and project management skills

BENEFICIAL SKILLS

Basic understanding of Robotics and/or Industrial Automation
 * Familiarity with the principles of software development
 * You have worked on designing microservice architectures

YOUR PROFILE

Solid practice as DevOps Engineer with at least 5 years of experience
 * Extensive expertise in designing and implementing microservices architectures
   using modern technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
 * You are very interested in developing and deploying cloud-native software via
   CI/CD to Kubernetes
 * You worked with Infrastructure as code tools
 * Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Helm
 * Extensive knowledge of Docker
 * Experienced with CI/CD/GitOps in combination with Kubernetes
 * Experience in the administration of Linux system environments (Ubuntu /
   Debian)
 * Academic background in the field of IT (at least bachelor’s degree in
   computer science or equivalent)
