IMPORTANT: UPCOMING REFRESH/MASS MODIFICATION FOR THE GSA MULTIPLE AWARD
SCHEDULE (MAS) AND OTHER FAS CONTRACT VEHICLES TO IMPLEMENT EO 14042, ENSURING
ADEQUATE COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS FOR FEDERAL CONTRACTORS

GSA appreciates the hard work and dedication of our contractors, especially
during such an extraordinary time. The health and safety of GSA employees,
contractors, and their families are our top priorities. In order to ensure the
health and safety of the federal workforce and contractor community, the
President signed Executive Order 14042, Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols
for Federal Contractors. 

 

The requirements in the Executive Order (EO) are being implemented across all
government contracts via a Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) deviation. The
clause in the FAR deviation will be incorporated into GSA contracts via a
bilateral modification.

Acceptance of the contract modification is required for all Schedule
contractors. GSA anticipates that the Schedule refresh and issuance of mass
modifications will begin around October 8th, 2021, as detailed in the attached
Significant Changes document.  For other than Schedule contracts for FAS, see
Attachment C of the GSA Class Deviation 2021-13 for applicability to your
specific contract.

On October 13, 2021, GSA’s senior acquisition officials will host an industry
engagement event about implementing the Executive Order.
