We were once described as “Strand Camping — A Campers Campsite” by a fellow
camper, and it’s true that our personal experiences have helped us to develop
the campsite as it is today.

Our campsite has 18 pitches and is ideally located and designed for tourers
exploring the breath-taking scenery of the Wild Atlantic Way along the West
Coast of Ireland.

FÁILTE TO STRAND CAMPING DOONBEG



We’re a small and friendly campsite located directly on Doonbeg Bay, in Doonbeg,
County Clare, on the West Coast of Ireland. It’s a genuine! 10 minute walk from
the campsite, along a flat, directly accessible local road to the centre of the
village which hosts pubs, restaurants and two shops. A local rural bus service
is available from Doonbeg providing onward access to the towns of Kilrush,
Kilkee, Lahinch and Ennis, or to further afield around the Loop Head peninsula.
We are located 20km from the Shannon Ferry terminal for easy access to/from
County Kerry.
Our campsite has 18 pitches and is ideally located and designed for tourers
exploring the breath-taking scenery of the Wild Atlantic Way along the West
Coast of Ireland. So whether you are camping with your tent and bicycle or
looking for a short stay touring pitch for your caravan, motorhome or campervan
we have individual pitches designed by us, especially for you. We have free
high-speed internet access across the campsite, hot showers included in the
price, a fully equipped coin operated laundry and full motorhome service point
(exclusively for our onsite campers to use).

Prices include WiFi, hot showers, toilet & bathroom facilities, water and

CAMPING AND EXPLORING

Bring your bicycle and be sure to pack your boots because walking, hiking and
cycle routes surround the area of the campsite taking you through beautiful
scenery. If sport or water sports are your preference local options include
kayaking, surfing, horse riding and golf. It goes without saying that pets are
very welcome at Strand Camping, they will enjoy the location just as much as
you! We have a small dog agility area designed to keep them occupied in all
weathers!

So whether you plan to overnight and rest-up as part of your broader trip, or
are seeking somewhere for an extended break, Doonbeg and Strand Camping are a
great combined choice. Pre booking is recommended to guarantee your pitch.

PRE PAYMENT AND PRE BOOKING TERMS



If you would like to book a pitch in advance of arrival full payment by card is
required at the time of booking. A booking confirmation detailing terms and
conditions is provided after the booking process is completed. This serves as
your receipt. Please bring it with you for proof of booking.

Please note that all advance bookings are non refundable and non transferable to
another person. We are not able to transfer a booking date into the next
financial year. If you need to make a change to your booking please contact us
as soon as possible to see if this is possible. Any change requests are subject
to availability and may incur a fee depending upon the complexity of the change.

In the event that the campsite cannot open due to Covid-19 restrictions, or
customers can not travel to Doonbeg due to Covid-19 travel restrictions any
affected bookings will be cancelled and refunded in full.
