ABOUT TRACY CARPENTER: HR CONSULTANT

It might have been an odd dream, but even in my teenage years I knew I wanted to
work in human resources. Having spent a decade working for big companies and
dealing with the ponderous nature of the work there - every decision needing
buy-in from dozens of people and sometimes taking years to reach resolution - I
jumped ship to work in external HR consultancy.

During this time I came to love the variety of the challenges faced by small
businesses, and see how much it was possible to help people thrive by helping
them to solve their HR problems. Along the way I've met many colourful
characters - and some of them have become long-term clients, who value my
honesty and can-do attitude.
