¿Qué otra cosa es la vida sino una urdimbre? ¿Qué otra cosa es un texto, sino un
émulo diminuto, un esbozo de la vida o de una fracción de ella? ¿Qué hacemos, si
no, al vivir, al contar, al escribir? Tejer, unir, asir y, con el correr de los
años, mirando atrás, descubrir que hemos seguido un camino lleno de sentido,
producto de nuestras personales decisiones y, por supuesto, de las influencias
que el hado haya puesto en nuestro andar.
Son estas palabras quizá una introducción extraña para este libro, una biografía
política de quien tiene altas probabilidades de convertirse en la próxima
gobernante de México, la primera presidenta: Claudia Sheinbaum, la gran
farsante, la oscura criatura de AMLO. Pero no lo veo yo así.
Así como yo, como usted que me lee, Claudia ha tejido su destino. Ha empleado,
si se me permite forzar la metáfora, el hilo de la simulación, la mentira y el
sometimiento. Ha trenzado acciones ilegales, traiciones, fingimientos.
Ha robado, ha despreciado, ha comprado voluntades. Ha reprimido al débil y se ha
sometido al poderoso. Le ha funcionado bien, pues al ponerse a los pies del
caudillo más influyente que México haya visto en más de cien años, se encuentra
en el umbral de ceñirse la banda presidencial, ese fetiche al que tantos y
tantos ambiciosos vulgares persiguen sin importar el precio.
Esta biografía política está animada por el afán de la verdad, esa que subyace
bajo las capas de propaganda y manipulación, oculta por las sonrisas fingidas,
las bardas pintadas, las portadas de revistas, las cifras “oficiales” y las
entrevistas a modo. Hay una gran verdad, compuesta por miles de hechos que
demuestran que Claudia no es quien dice ser. La tarea de retratarla nos la hemos
impuesto en etcétera. Es nuestra obligación.
Permítaseme, por favor, una digresión personal: quien esto escribe también ha
tejido su particular destino, siempre entrecruzado por las letras, el lenguaje y
la escritura. A los dos años mi madre me enseñó a “leer”, usando un método muy
en boga en los 70: básicamente reconocer la masa de una palabra puesta en una
tarjeta. Recuerdo que a los cuatro años ella me leía en voz alta los “cuentos”
del Pato Donald, que a los cinco o seis me dio un bellísimo libro que ilustraba
las historias de la Biblia que los editores consideraban aptas para niños. Me
llenó de abundantes libros toda mi infancia: Mujercitas, Tom Sawyer, Robinson
Crusoe, Colmillo blanco, 20 mil leguas de viaje submarino, El diario de Ana
Frank y decenas más. En casa teníamos esa legendaria enciclopedia llamada El
Nuevo Tesoro de la Juventud, a cuya sección de relatos acudía yo una y otra vez.
Ahí conocí el origen de la expresión “salir con su domingo siete”, historia muy
graciosa y desconcertante al mismo tiempo.
Mi abuela materna, por su parte, me tenía siempre provista de los adorables
“cuentos” de puesto de revistas: Ricky Ricón, La pequeña Lulú, Archie, Pato
Donald y muchos más. De los puestos de periódicos mi mamá reunió importantes
colecciones, como las Grandes Novelas de Aventuras, libros que venían empastados
en blanco con dorado y letras guindas. En esa colección leí El prisionero de
Zenda, maravillosa novela. Yo era voraz lectora de textos de toda clase. En la
habitación de Yolanda, la trabajadora que vivía con nosotros, descubrí cosas
sorprendentes: la revista Notitas Musicales y
El Libro Semanal, entre otros notables productos editoriales. En los estantes
del cuarto de mis padres, que expolié a fondo, encontré toda clase de lecturas,
desde esa morbosa saga muy famosa llamada Nacida inocente (que leí a los nueve
años, sin entender nada) hasta libros sobre arte y caligrafía china, pasando por
las adorables obras de Agatha Christie, Ray Bradbury e Isaac Asimov, imponentes
y barrocas...
