As Congregations and Parishes hold annual AGMs, you are requested to forward a
copy of the AGM Book of Reports to District Office, along with a list of Office
Bearers, as soon as is practical.
Email Keryn Middelmann at District Office.
Thanks to those who have already sent in Books of Reports for their last AGM.


2023 STATISTICAL REPORTING IN LAMP 2

Congregations/Parishes are requested to complete their statistics for 2023 by
the end of February. Statistics can be entered into LAMP 2 via the LCA Portal.

The Lutheran Church of Australia (LCA) is committed to providing a safe church
environment for children and young people. The LCA acknowledges that children
are a precious gift from God, with special vulnerabilities, that they require
nourishment and nurture in their spiritual development and that they are to be
protected from all forms of abuse. The LCA also affirms that it has no tolerance
for child abuse and that all its people have an important responsibility to care
for children and to keep them safe. The way we care for children reflects our
genuineness of faith. It is also a reflection of God’s love and his divine
protection.

Would your congregation be interested in $1000 to hold a children’s event around
the theme: “Children have the right to a clean and safe environment”?
The theme is taken from the UN rights of children: “Children have the right to
good quality health care, clean water, nutritious food and a clean environment
so that they will stay healthy”.
An event could highlight that we as Church also value children and their health,
as does our God! – You could do something around “give us this day our daily
bread”!
Applications encourage children to help plan an event, and the funds are for
events to be held Saturday 19th October to Sunday 27th October.

Easter Camp Registrations are open!
Easter Camp is a 5 day camp run for people aged 18 to 30s. It offers a chance to
engage and build community with fellow young people over the extended Easter
weekend.

Leah WatsonWe sure don't know where we are going in our congregation but we
trust that God has his hand in what we are doing. We've flipped things on their
head, challenged the way things have always been done and why they can't be done
differently, and in the process have discovered so much about ourselves and how
we came to this point. We have renewed and strengthed old friendships and
discovered new friends and support in places we had never expected. It is
definitely a God story in this liminal space!
