HYPNOTIZE DEFINITION

The purpose of the AWA section of the GRE exam is to assess your critical
thinking skills and your ability to clearly articulate your arguments. Practice
some GRE AWA sample questions over the course of your GRE study plan so that you
are not caught unaware when your exam date rolls around. The universities you
apply to will use this score to check your skills in articulation, critical
thinking, logical reasoning, and writing.įor any masters course you might pursue
abroad, you will definitely be expected to write plenty of essays, research
papers, thesis statements, and more, so make sure you don’t take this section
lightly. Why is the GRE AWA Section Important?Įven though the AWA section does
not contribute to the composite score you will receive for your GRE, this
section is not to be treated with less importance. Hence, it is essential you
take some time to organize your thoughts and structure your arguments well
before you start writing. While there is no AWA word limit in the GRE, it is
recommended to keep your AWA essay short. Furthermore, you will be required to
write clearly and quickly.

Moreover, if you are opting for a paper-administered test, then you must ensure
that your handwritten essays are transcribed into the test booklet that will
also contain the answers to your verbal and quant sections.

In order to be fair to those taking a paper-based test, the word processing tool
does not have any spelling or grammar check feature. The word processor involves
basic tools such as insert or delete text, cut and paste and undo command. If
you choose the computer-delivered test, then you will be provided with a word
processing tool that is developed specifically by ETS to conduct this section of
the test. The GRE AWA section is available in both methods of test deliveries -
the computer-delivered and the paper-based. While an analyse-an-issue topic aims
to test your ability to present a view and support it with examples, the
analyse-an-argument topic aims to test your ability to gauge someone else’s
argument by analysing their claims and evaluating the evidence they provide. The
overall aim of the AWA topics for GRE is not the same. Based on specific
instructions, you are required to evaluate the argument presented or the claim
made, as opposed to strengthening or weakening the argument that is presented to
you. Analyse an Argument: On the other hand, under the ‘analyse an argument’ you
are provided with an argument. You are required to answer this question/topic
based on specific instructions (on how to respond to the issue) that is
presented to you. Analyse an Issue: Under ‘analyse an issue’ topic, you are
provided an issue and are required to present your arguments and support your
opinions with specific examples. The Analytical Writing Assessment section is
divided into two parts - GRE Analyse an issue and GRE Analyse and Argument. So,
let’s acquaint you with the AWA section of the GRE exam. Though it doesn’t
contribute to your composite score, you must prepare for it thoroughly as most
universities give a lot of importance to this score in addition to the composite
score. The GRE AWA is an equally important section in the exam besides the other
two - Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning sections. meanings of hypnotize will be

BABY KEEM MOSH PIT LYRICS

8/22/2023

“When you come see the crib, you better die, hoe.” And for a little extra
intrigue sprinkled on top of it all, his name was in headlines because Twitter
kept banning its users for quoting his lyrics. In mid-January, he earned his
first Billboard Hot 100 entry with “Orange Soda.” A week later, Die For My Bitch
entered the Billboard 200 albums chart, six months after its release. There
isn’t an emerging rapper on the planet who had a better end to 2019 than Baby
Keem.īaby Keem’s first few months of 2020 weren’t bad, either. And on Christmas
Day, Drake enthusiastically told Rap Radar that Die For My Bitch was one of the
two best albums of the year (alongside Young Thug’s So Much Fun). By
mid-December, Keem was sitting down for dinner with Jay-Z.

Drake showed up to the Die For My Bitch tour stop in Toronto and J.I.D.

As the set went on, even the most uptight journalists and A&Rs in the crowd
couldn’t help themselves from yelling along to each off-the-wall one-liner Keem
barked into the mic.įor the next few months, the buzz around Baby Keem kept
multiplying. Somewhere, I imagine Curtis Jackson was proud. Lil Dicky’s curly
mop of hair bounced around in the pit. Then, as the beat from Die For My Bitch
standout “Moshpit” kicked in, he exploded into a barrage of high-pitched yelps.
Playing up the drama of the moment, Baby Keem stared down the crowd with Playoff
Bron meme intensity, nine months before the Lakers actually dismantled the
Blazers in the bubble. The small venue was crawling with journalists and
industry types who had been hearing the same whispers for months: Was this
teenage rapper from Las Vegas really the next big thing? Everyone was in the
building that night to see if he could live up to the hype. It was November 17,
2019, and Baby Keem was in town to headline his first New York show. Somewhere
in a sea of limbs, Lil Dicky thrashed around in a mosh pit. The
shoulder-to-shoulder crowd was so packed that the emergency exits were blocked.

LISTEN WARROOM

8/22/2023

“War Room” preaches that we have no call to be righteous and judge others, yet
the film itself is righteous and judgmental in the extreme. “God’s Not Dead” was
a call for tolerance that defended the intolerance of anti-gay Christians. If
there is a link between “War Room” and last year’s evangelical hit, “God’s Not
Dead,” it can be found in their shared hypocrisy. In a film of otherwise bland
performances, Abercrombie is the obvious stand-out, if only because of her
tireless energy, yet she overdoes the old biddy routine to such an insufferable
degree, there are times she resembles an unseemly hybrid of Steve Urkel and
Yoda. So, they throw in more inspirational monologues and more contrived signs
of God’s grace, all strung together in an interminable epilogue bereft of
tangible conflict. You’d think this would be the end of the story, yet the
Kendricks have a whole other hour to fill. She insists that she’s staying in the
relationship because she loves Jesus, and that it is her godly duty to forever
be at his side.

When he asks how she could possibly forgive him for his endless list of
transgressions, her answer is unsettling. Before you know it, he’s lost his
well-paying job and is facing potential jail time for dirty double-dealing, but
Elizabeth remains utterly unfazed. God promptly interrupts Tony’s dinner with a
potential mistress by giving him a stomach ache, and sends him back into his
wife’s arms. Once the evildoer is cast out of the house in a stirring,
borderline psychotic monologue delivered by Elizabeth, everything changes. The
multitude of problems in their marriage can be boiled down to one cause: Satan.
As for the film’s advice to women who are beaten by their husbands, one of
Elizabeth’s co-workers advises, “ Learn to duck so God can hit him.” Since the
Kendricks have mistaken one-dimensional caricatures for people who exist in the
real world, they forgot to provide Tony with any redeeming qualities that would
make us want to root for his marriage. The film’s centerpiece sequence occurs
early on, as Elizabeth sits weeping in her closet while pleading, “God, help him
love me again.” This moment is heartbreaking for all the wrong reasons. There,
she will summon God to help fight her battles, thus transforming the space into
the titular “war room.” Her role as a submissive woman is to treat the man in
her life with grace, which will eventually shame him into becoming a good
person. Instead, she urges the long-suffering wife to go back home, empty out a
closet and plaster the walls with Bible verses. When Elizabeth tries opening up
about the unabashed cruelty she endures on a daily basis from her loathsome
husband, Tony (T.C.

Shirer) must be taught in extended conversations with her client-turned-friend,
Miss Clara ( Karen Abercrombie). This is the lesson that real estate agent
Elizabeth ( Priscilla C. Grappling with the gray areas in life is seen as a sign
of weakness, while acting in one’s own best interest is nothing more than a
sinful exercise in selfish pride. The film wants to evangelize by preaching an
ideology that requires its followers to view the world in black-and-white terms.
It has one single goal, which according to the Kendricks, is the only goal worth
having. Spirituality can be a beautiful thing to explore in cinema, but “War
Room” has no interest in engaging its audience on a personal level.

FIRESIDE THEATER KINGSTON

I hope that you too can lift your spirits watching talented performers in a
lovely wee theatre. Sondheim (A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd) broke musical
theater boundaries with this award-winning production. Great performances,
especially of comedy, really make me happy.

I definitely plan to attend another performance here though we live hundreds of
miles away. Garrigan Park is on the corner next to the church, and plenty of
free parking space is available. Treat someone you know who does not get a

fine dining, and boutique shops in a one-of-a-kind setting. I think that tickets
on Thursdays are REALLY reduced for seniors if seats are available when you
arrive. You can also just show up and pay cash at the door. Domino Theatre's
website lists current and up-coming performances, and if you call the Grande

at the Domino Theatre's box office. Their well-rehearsed performance had the
audience rolling with laughter. All the actors obviously LOVE to perform, and
really interacted very well with the entire cast. This GoFundMe will help fund

HMS EREBUS BOOK

8/22/2023

The sturdy former bomb ships were substantially strengthened and fitted with the
latest technologies for polar service and, at the time, were the most advanced
sailing vessels developed for Polar exploration. Go to or call the number on the
website. In the summer of 1845, Sir John Franklin and a crew of 128 men entered
Lancaster Sound on board HMS Erebus and HMS Terror in search of a Northwest
Passage. Why don’t you arrange a walk to The Dean Cemetery and many other places
of interest in Edinburgh with Edinburgh Walks. So, although Irving was interred
in the Dean Cemetery 137 years ago his story and that of the Franklin Expedition
continues to evolve to this day. It appears yet again that authorities had taken
a long time to listen to the words of the local Inuit as to where these ships
may lie. Work continued to find Irving’s ship and on 12th September 2016 HMS
Terror was found….in a place called Terror Bay on King William Island. This ship
has been confirmed as HMS Terror’s sister ship, HMS Erebus. Also in September
2014 the Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced the discovery of a
ship to the West of King William Island, South of the Victoria Strait. This
plaque is adjacent to a memorial to Franlin.īut there is more……. On 30th
September 2014 a simple plaque was unveiled to Rae in Westminster Abbey in
London, England. Rae eventually returned to the UK, but his courageous deeds in
the snowy wastelands of Northern Canada were never truly recognised….until 2014.
But in May 1859 following another expedition, skeletons were found of some of
the last survivors and they appeared to confirm that the men had resorted to
cannibalism.ĭr. Even Charles Dickens wrote of his disbelief. But the report of
cannibalism caused a scandal which was not accepted by Victorian Britain and, in
particular, Franklin’s widow. Some years later, Rae learned that the Inuit had
discovered 30 bodies and a number of graves and it appeared the men had died of
starvation. From what he was told, Rae decided the men had died in the winter of
1850, after ice had crushed their ships. In April 1854, Rae had heard from an
Inuit that a group of 40 white men had been seen four years previously pulling a
boat and sledges South along the West coast of King William Island. Rae assisted
in two searches for Erebus and Terror and their men, but abandoned the search
for Franklin in 1854 after learning that the expedition had ended in disaster
and that the last survivors having been forced to resort to cannibalism. He
learned their vital survival skills, though his insistence of dressing like a
native was frowned upon. He stayed in the Moose Factory area for around 10 years
and in this time assimilated with the local native Canadians. John Rae was a
qualified surgeon from Orkney in Scotland who was employed by the Hudson’s Bay
Company after his arrival there in 1833. However, it brought to mind more recent
information that adds colour to this story.ĭr. The tableau on the Cross appears
to show the survivors leaving Erebus and Terror to commence their march South.Ī
synopsis of the terrible affair is also on the cross. His remains were returned
to Edinburgh and on the 7th January 1881 he was buried in the Dean Cemetery.
Many expeditions were sent out to trace the crews, and it was in June 1879 that
Lieutenant Frederick Schwatka’s American Searching Expedition found Irving’s
grave near a place called Camp Crozier, the remains identifiable by the presence
of a silver medal engraved ‘Second Mathematical Prize, Royal Naval College. By
June 1847 Franklin, twenty Officers and Seamen died, but Irving and 104 other
survivors landed on King William Island and tried to march further South into
Canada, some 250 miles away.

Having wintered at Beechey Island, they thereafter set out to find the Passage,
but became locked in the ice for two years. The other Royal Navy ship in the
party was HMS Erebus.

Irving was part of Sir John Franklin’s expedition to find the North West Passage
that left Kent, England in 1845 on board HMS Terror.

ANN ARBOR PINBALL PETES

The building, owned by the Tice Family Partnership, had once been on the market,
but in 2004 there were no takers for the asking price of $1.2 million. The
neighbors had said that loitering and vagrancy were a problem at the building
which had been boarded up for some number of years. It's missing a lot of
details please fill in what I'm missing below in the comments, and I'll work the
edits in to complete the story.Ī vacant pinball parlor on South University, once
the home of Campus Pinball and later Pinball Pete's, burned last Saturday.
Here's a partial timeline of pinball in Ann Arbor with some personal memories
mixed in. Hotels near Pinball Petes, Ann Arbor on Tripadvisor: Find 5,743
traveler reviews, 3,227 candid photos, and prices for 603 hotels near Pinball
Petes in Ann Arbor, MI. I came to Ann Arbor for the first time in 1976 and
played a few games of pinball at Mickey Rat's, and then spent a lot of quarters
during college playing pinball around town from 1985 to 1995. Tice added, “I
don’t believe the fact that the building is gone is going to change their
mind. The former home of a longtime staple for Ann Arbor-area youth, Pinball
Pete's, went up in flames last weekend and the takes a look back at it's
colorful history. Tice said the building was so run down and out of code that
any new property owners would have likely demolished it. Tice would not disclose
who the developer is. “The value is in the land.”įor the past five months, Tice
has been negotiating a sales agreement for the former Pinball Pete’s property
with an undisclosed developer, but he said the developer was more interested in
the land than the building itself. “That building had no or very little value as
it was,” Tice said. Tice said he would have torn the building down years ago if
the city’s new zoning regulations had been set. The zoning changes, approved
last month by the Ann Arbor City Council, were created to implement new design
standards for downtown Ann Arbor, restructure the city’s parking system and help
simplify the land development proposal process. “Now that it’s voted on, I
anticipate a lot of properties being sold or redeveloped.” “My brother and I
have been waiting for five years to know,” Tice said. He said that previous
plans were stalled as he waited for the final passage of the city’s A2D2 zoning
initiative, since it would determine what types of property could fill the
space. Tice, who also owns Pizza House, was less clear about what would replace
the former Pinball Pete’s property. “It’s all weather related - if we were to
get a blizzard for three days it would set us three days back, or more.” “In
terms of a finite ending, it’s hard to say since this is the worst weather
time,” Beal said. 6 - the same day students return to class - the process could
be delayed if any major snowstorms hit the area in the next few weeks. Though
construction is set to finish on Jan. “We know the importance of getting it
done.” “We’re going to get it done as quickly as possible,” Beal said. 26, when
construction will take place every day of the week. 14, but heavy equipment will
not be brought in until Dec. To this end, smaller components of the teardown
will begin on Dec. “That was the city of Ann Arbor’s suggestion, and we were
happy to comply with it,” Beal said. Tice - who has been in negotiations to sell
the building for the past five months - said though the fire recently occurred,
he has been waiting for years for city approval to demolish the building.Ī
construction company JC Beal Construction was later hired, and the company’s
president Stewart Beal met with John Brink, project manager for the city of Ann
Arbor, to discuss the demolition’s timeline.īrink, who manages street permit
guidelines and processing times, said the city’s only requirement was that the
bulk of the demolition be done over the University’s winter break, in an effort
to minimize any disruptions or inconveniences. Shortly after the fire, Tice said
he received a letter from city officials acknowledging the incident and
inquiring about what his plans were for the property. A court hearing for one of
the suspects is set to begin tomorrow. 3 and have been charged with arson of
private property. Two men, who are thought to be homeless, were arrested in
connection with the blaze Dec. 24 fire that ravaged the abandoned building on
South University Avenue took firefighters from two departments hours to fully
extinguish and temporarily displaced hundreds of residents from the neighboring
University Towers apartment complex. What follows after the demolition, however,
is still up in the air. But, based on advice from city officials, major
demolition won’t begin until after Christmas, when most students have left
campus. 14 and is expected to continue through Jan.

Dennis Tice, owner of the former Pinball Pete’s property that was charred beyond
repair in late October, said demolition of the property will begin on Dec.

SIDE TABLES WOOD

Some of West Elm's end tables and coffee tables are contract-grade, which means
they're durable enough for home or business use. Or mix things up with contrast
by pairing a wood coffee table with marble side tables, for example. If you
prefer a more eclectic style, choose pieces from different collections in the
same finish, material or style. Put together a living room that's modern and
elegant by matching your end tables to a coffee table from the same collection.
Plus, if you redecorate, these clear tables can stay put because they go with
any color scheme. They're not just good for living rooms but also bedrooms and
dorms. These transparent tables are sturdy and designed to save space. If you
want an ultra-modern look that goes with virtually any living room furniture,
consider tables made from clear acrylic. Some of these side tables - such as the
Cami Indoor/Outdoor Ceramic Round Side Table - are suitable for placement next
to your patio sofa or chairs because they're made to withstand the elements. The
Mid-Century side table has drawers for stylish storage and goes with other
pieces from this line. Or create a well-matched look with wood tables from the
Mid-Century collection. Impart contemporary style to your living room with a
mixed-material end table, such as the metal-and-marble Hex Side Table. Some are
equipped with shelves and drawers for storage, and there are tiered styles such
as the sleek three-shelf Profile Side Table. You'll find round side and end
tables for a modern look, along with traditional square and rectangular tables.
Table styles include C-side tables, sets of nesting tables and fluted pedestal
tables. A bookcase can provide room for reading material and fill in the space
add a small lamp on the end table for soft illumination. Decorate the space with
an accent rug, such as a shag or wool rug with an abstract motif. Or you can
create a social space with a side table positioned between two accent chairs.
Side and end tables can also work well in a nook beside a cozy armchair. West
Elm has practical yet stylish beverage coasters in styles such as Marble Onyx,
Constellation Glass and Stone Quartz, to name just three. As mentioned, you can
place a table on either side of your sofa so people can set drinks down,
preferably on coasters to protect your tabletop.

There's basically no difference between side and end tables.

These essential pieces can be positioned on either end of the sofa and matched
to coffee tables for a coordinated look. Furnish your living room with side
tables to add convenient surface space.

CLASSICAL GUITAR REPERTOIRE BY DIFFICULTY

8/22/2023

The best way of describing it is the feeling of being on auto pilot. It is by
far the most common kind of memory that we employ whilst playing an instrument.
Kinesthetic memory is more commonly known as ‘muscle memory’. From different
angles you will have a fuller understanding of what the object is and also a
more comprehensive memory of it. It is equivalent to looking at a 3D object from
different perspectives.

The more types of memory that you employ, the better. It is building a support
network of memories to catch you when you fall. So the process of memorizing a
piece of music is not so much stopping the breaks of concentration. These things
happen to everyone all the time. Rather, it is an interruption in the stream of
consciousness-a distraction, a break of concentration. It is not that you have
forgotten something or you don’t know it. Let me be clear, a memory slip is not
what you think it is. In doing so we are not preparing as thoroughly as we could
for the memory slip that’s around the corner. Normally we only use one or two
types of memory in a piece. The following techniques may aid the memorization
process making it more time efficient and reliable. Whatever the reason, the
tendency for guitarists to memorize their pieces is very common.

After all, it is not worth having the score if it will be more of a hindrance
than help. Part of the difference in this trend is to do with the lack of
ability of guitarists to sight read. If you go to recitals of instruments other
than the guitar (which I can not recommend highly enough!) you will notice that
it is more common amongst other instrumentalists to use the score rather than
meomorize. And this reduces the stress of performance, which can adversely
affect music making. Psychologically, however, having the score provides a great
sense of safety. In fact, you may not even use it for large portions of a piece.
Having the score during performance does not mean you have to have your eyes
glued to the page the entire time. However, personally I think the advantages of
having a score during performance outweigh those of memorization. The 19th
century idea of the music virtuoso first brought around this idea and it has
endured to our time. It also may come across to some people as an impressive
feat of virtuosity having memorized the thousands of notes that are played in a
concert. Often musicians feel more ‘free’ to express themselves when they
memorize the music and the score is absent from the stage. Memorizing music
definitely has its advantages. Before going on to talk about methods of
memorizing music I would like you to first give some thought to why we perform
from memory? Why memorize? It has become almost par for the course to have an
entire recital memorized and performed without mistakes (if our job wasn’t
already hard enough!). These days it is more common than not to see a classical
guitarist perform from memory.
