RESIDENTIAL

We are experts at removing bats from residential properties. Whether you have a
single bat trapped in your house, a colony roosting in your attic, and/or
various other problems, there is no need to worry! During our removal process,
we make sure to inspect your entire home carefully, tracking down all the
entrypoints bats are using to invade your place. Next, we perform a process
called live exclusion (where no bats are harmed and all exit your property),
then seal all entry holes completely shut. We also take care of the cleanup
process after, so your home is safe and clean!

COMMERCIAL

Besides residential areas, we also have a wealth of experience removing bats
from commercial properties! We begin by investigating the area for possible bat
entrances, covering holes even as small as 1/4 of an inch. Through our live
exclusion process, bats leave the building through one-way exits, and we seal up
every hole afterward. Once the bats have been removed, we perform a cleanup
process. This includes dealing with guano, replacing damaged insulation, and
decontaminating the place.

How Many Bugs Per Night Do Bats Eat?

It is hard to get an idea of how many bugs per night bats eat. You may not think
of them as excellent hunters, but they are able to survive and control certain
insect populations exceptionally well. They are a major part of keeping the
number of mosquitos down.

Even so, you may not know how many they eat. For most people, the immediate
guess is a low number. Simply because anything else seems outrageous. It is not
easy to picture bats eating insects somewhere in the thousands. That goes far
beyond what most would imagine, but is it realistic? How many insects a night do
bats really eat?

How Many

There are a lot of factors at play with how many insects bats eat every night.
Availability, time of year, competition, competence of the bat, and several
other controlling factors can determine how many insects there are and how easy
they are to get.

The type of bat and the food of choice matter, too. Certain bats will eat more
bugs than others will, and each type of bug is different.

Even with all of this, the numbers can reach somewhat high into the thousands.
Some bats can eat upwards of 5,000 bugs a night, about 1,000 every hour.

This is an insane number of bugs, but it is most of what bats do when they are
awake. They search for food and they know where to find it.

Controlling Factors

Again, there are controlling factors that can determine how many bugs a night
the bats eat. One of the biggest is the season. During colder seasons, bugs come
out in smaller and smaller numbers. There are few to no insects around during
the cold winter nights.

During these times, bats will have to hibernate. As these nights approach, they
have to prepare for the shrinking food source. The can significantly alter how
many bugs there are for bats to eat.

During spring, when the bugs come back out, bats will have more to eat. The
numbers will begin to rise once again after the bugs' mating and hatching
finishes.

Bats can eat a ton of insects in a single night, well into the thousands. Bats
are excellent hunters of insects, able to find and devour them easily and
quickly. They can take out and devour these large numbers without problem,
keeping their populations in check and continuing to survive.
