ACTIVITIES

Help take care of the forest along this neighborhood trail! Depending on the
time of the year, we'll be pulling ivy, grubbing blackberry roots, planting new
native plants, or mulching; but always having a good time! You can check out our
Facebook page at www.facebook.com/eastduwamish

Open to the public

All ages OK

10 out of 20 volunteers registered.

WHAT TO BRING

Dress for work and weather: long pants, long-sleeved shirts, closed-toed shoes
or boots, and a rain jacket. Please bring a water bottle and any snacks you
might need.

WHERE TO MEET

The forest is located along 39th Ave S, between S Cloverdale and S Trenton
Streets in South Beacon Hill/Rainier Beach. Use 8631 39th Ave S as an
approximate address for the upper trail entrance. We will meet at the upper
entrance by the yellow fire hydrant, but if you arrive late, just follow the
trail and look for us in the woods. The forest is a short walk from bus stops or
light rail. If arriving by light rail, use address 4005 S Trenton St, which will
take you to the lower trail entrance, then take the trail uphill.

WHERE TO PARK

Limited parking is available adjacent to the site along 39th Ave S, and more
parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood.
