Program Overview

 

Covid-19 pandemic crisis had created massive disruption to the global supply chain globally, impacting all businesses globally as their transportation for land, air, and sea came to a complete halt since March/April 2020. This phenomenon had clearly revealed the inadequacy in risk management in many global organizations for not adopting a holistic approach in managing risks. COSO ERM June 2017 stated that many corporations attempting to implement ERM were often not enterprise-wide in scope, and applications of ERM were rarely integrated with strategy-setting. 15031000 February 2018 reiterated the effectiveness of risk management would depend on its integration into the organization's governance, including decision-making. This requires support from stakeholders, particularly top management.

 

This 12-week program will adopt best practices of enterprise risk management (ERM) principles, frameworks, and policies from the latest 15031000 February 2018 Risk Management and the latest COSO ERM June 2017. Participants will learn to develop and implement processes that identify, measure, monitor, control, and mitigate risks across the enterprise with best practices on risk assessment techniques derived from IEC/I5O31010 and COSO ERM 2017 standards. Participants will learn to build the enterprise risk management framework that encompasses integrating, designing, implementing, evaluating, and improving risk management across the organization.

This 12-week program is accredited by the Swiss Institute of Management and Innovation (SIMI) based in Switzerland and the Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC) of the United Kingdom. This dual accreditation ensures the Certified Enterprise Risk Officer Certificate meets the highest design, training material, delivery, and assessment standards. Participants shall be awarded the certificate - Certified Enterprise Risk Officer upon passing all assessments.

 

By the end of this training program, each participant will be able to:

• Able to identify, measure, monitor, control and mitigate risk from unexpected

and uncontrollable events adopting best principles, frameworks from 1503100 and COSO ERM 2017 standards

• Establish early warning detection on any unusual patterns for effective risk control

• Align ERM strategy and framework to your corporate strategy for effective strategic planning adopting COSO ERM 2017 standard

• Implement a holistic ERM framework for effective risk monitoring and control

 

Training Methodology

 

This 12-week program is entirely interactive and every participant will be fully participative in group discussion, exercises, and case studies. Step-by-step guidance in how to develop, establish and implement an enterprise risk framework will be taught to each participant. The trainer will coach each participant and ensure that each participant is able to execute the ERM framework in addition to the stipulated training hours. 

 

Who Should Attend This Program

 

Anyone who is currently working in the risk management, compliance department, and internal audit is welcome to join this certification program with a minimum of 3-years of relevant working experience. 

 

Course Requirements

 

Participants should have a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in risk, compliance, and or audit-related experiences. He/She needs to have pre-requisite knowledge in finance and capital markets.

This certificate is a certificate awarded, upon fulfilling all assessment requirements, by both SIMI of Switzerland and ASIC of the United Kingdom.
