evaluates the consequences for our employees and our customers.

EMERGENCY AID

On March 11, 2022, Kuehne+Nagel announced that it pledges emergency aid to
Ukraine in the amount of 10 million Swiss francs. This will be provided in the
form of free logistics services to leading aid organisations for the transport
and temporary storage of relief goods to Ukraine as well as Poland, Slovakia,
Hungary and Romania until summer 2022. 

This action is being coordinated by Kuehne+Nagel's existing “Emergency and
Relief Expert Centre” in Copenhagen. 

In addition, Kuehne+Nagel employees can make a personal commitment by
contributing to the Group’s “Colleagues for Colleagues” fundraising campaign.

UKRAINE

Services have been restored; local restrictions still apply.

RUSSIAN FEDERATION & CIS

Kuehne+Nagel sold its business in the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan, Belarus
and Kazakhstan to its Managing Director effective July 20, 2022.

The respective country organisations have transferred and are no longer in
place. Accordingly, since August 1, 2022, Kuehne+Nagel’s business activities no
longer involve the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. 

IMPACT ON GLOBAL TRADE

Direct consequences of the sanctions in the affected markets bring major
indirect impact to the global trade and logistics flows. Closure of the air
corridors over Russia and Ukraine and the ban of Russian aircraft from North
American and European airspace have led to capacity restrictions and longer lead
times, with some long haul flights, particularly in the Eurasian hemisphere
increasing by three hours. 

Aiming to minimise supply chain disruption, we are working closely with our
customers and all our main carrier partners to evaluate the impact of the
schedule changes and aircraft rerouting. In addition to extra capacity
solutions, we deploy Sea-Air program with multiple connection points in
Southeast Asia, Middle East and West Coast USA which helps to avoid potential
congestion spots.

Kuehne+Nagel had to stop the acceptance of bookings for rail transports (Eurasia
Express) to and from Europe, as these transports pass through the Russian
Federation.

Kuehne+Nagel teams put all means and efforts in place to mitigate these impacts.
