TOGETHER FOR IDAHO

The Idaho Democratic Party prioritizes Idaho’s core issues, fighting for
families, seniors, students, and veterans, and working to elect Democrats
statewide. By uniting people from the grassroots to the Capitol, we strive to
strengthen Idaho and hold Republicans accountable.

MOVING IDAHO FORWARD

WE ARE THE IDAHO DEMOCRATIC PARTY

From Aberdeen to Bonners Ferry — and every place in between — we’re organizing
to build a better, fairer, and brighter future for all Idahoans. As proud
stewards of Idaho’s heritage and its future, we champion responsible stewardship
of our environment, equitable access to quality education, affordable
healthcare, and economic opportunity. We stand up for the rights of workers,
champion women’s rights, advocate for LGBTQ+ equality, and ensure that the
voices of all of our communities are amplified and heard.

Let's be clear: Idaho's Democrats would, in a heartbeat, reinstate the Maternal
Mortality Review Committee that investigates and makes recommendations to
prevent maternal deaths. It was unconscionable that Republican legislators
disbanded it. We must bring it back. #idleg #idpol

IDP STATEMENT ON THE SUPREME COURT TAKING UP IDAHO ABORTION BAN

January 5, 2024

Today, Idaho Democratic Party Chair Lauren released the following statement in
response to the Supreme Court allowing Idaho to enforce its strict abortion ban,
even in medical emergencies: “Idaho’s abortion ban, passed by the
Republican-controlled legislature and signed by Governor Brad Little, endangers
the lives of pregnant Idahoans and undermines the duty hospitals have to treat
and stabilize sick patients. Simply preserving the patient’s health is
considered a criminal [...]

A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR: IDAHO DEMOCRATS TO PRIORITIZE WORKING FAMILIES THIS
LEGISLATIVE SESSION

January 4, 2024

The Idaho State Capitol is not just a building; it's the People's House. Regular
Idaho families don’t have lobbyists and can’t afford big campaign donations, but
their interests should always be front and center. As the legislature
reconvenes, Idaho Democrats are prioritizing the working families who are too
often left behind. First, we are committed to thriving Main Streets with
economic opportunity in towns big and small. A fundamental building [...]

A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR: AFTER SIGNIFICANT STRIDES IN 2023, IDAHO DEMOCRATS ARE
READY FOR 2024

December 29, 2023

The end of a year offers a moment to take stock of our progress to date and our
vision for the future. As I reflect on the future Democrats want for Idahoans —
thriving Main Streets with economic opportunity, quality education, personal
freedoms, and an affordable path to raising the next generation — it’s clear
that supermajority rule is holding us back. Idaho Democrats are rolling up their
sleeves to [...]
