WELCOME TO MUTUALLY HELPFUL

WELCOME

Global markets are in turmoil.  Covid-19 has put the brakes on New Zealand’s
economy. It’s a worrying time – everyone is hurting, and many people are unsure
what to do.

In times like these, it can be hard to work out who has your best interests at
heart. With so much misinformation out there – #fakenews anyone? – it can be
hard to find a trusted voice.

That’s why SBS Bank, the bank that wears its heart on its chest, has created a
one-stop-shop for information. Here you’ll find information to help you navigate
the financial challenges of COVID-19. We’ll collate information from various
different sources and put it all in one place.

Why are we doing this? Well, we don’t have overseas shareholders so, for us,
it’s not about making a big dividend – we’re a mutual bank, so our focus is on
our Members.

We’ve been around for more than 150 years so we know about banking and we care
about our Members.

And if you’re not a Member? That’s ok – we’re all in this together.
