FXPANSION LICENSE MANAGER UTILITY

12/14/2019

Did anybody experience problem with downloading core library via new license
manager? I bought mine 4 days ago through Fxpansion online shop and still can
not successfully download library! I ran license manager already 4 times and
each time it took around one day to get 100%. But finally each attempt finished
with red progress bar and message that some amount of files failed to download
properly: 880 files, 13 files, 4140 files, 380 files.

 * Fxpansion

I almost lost all hope to download BFD3 Core Library via new license manager
despite the fact that I have a very stable internet connection and any other
download manager works properly. In addition to it so very strange and annoying
is CPU usage by license manager - my activity monitor utility (Mac 10.6.8) shows
90-140% of total CPU usage and around 4GB of real memory taken by license
manager. All Fxpansion software I use are latest releases - license manager,
software installer, download ticket. I did not expect from Fxpansion such a raw
and non-optimized release. Yesterday I opened support ticket, but still no
answer. Did any of you guys encounter the same problem? I would appreciate any
effective tips and solutions.
Did anybody experience problem with downloading core library via new license
manager? Hi Close that window when you get it. Then from expansions download
page, run the 2nd download, the 'ticket' again. It will check to see what it
missed and try downloading what's left. It took 16 hours for the initial
incomplete download for me, but then it took 5 or 6 more times at about 20
minutes a piece to get the last of the 74 files it didn't get the first time.
Their instructions on the website for this realistic contingency should be
clearer I agree. It sounds to me like you are DELETING what it has downloaded
and starting over. Don't do that, just rerun the 2nd DL When you're done their
will be a yellow dmg (if you're a Mac) inside the folder in your downloads
folder. Run that to install.
Don't run that though until your down load is 100% complete Btw don't expect an
answer until Monday. The fact that FX is in Europe means about one email per day
across the pond per ticket realistically. The mentalist season 7 full episodes.
Interface font family. They're sleeping when we're working haha Fred. Damn-this
is one very fine offering from FXpansion!! I started with the original BFD-then
upgraded to II-now another upgrade. For me- the new kits sound like beautifully
recorded drums, with very minimal tweaking needed. The GUI is very friendly to
work with.
I have Slate full package, the new Logic drummer, RMX, and Addictive drums. Have
been triggering them with the ROland TD-30 V-drum kit. Also using the Logic
drummer as an alias and triggering BFD.
The download went shmooth as buttah. One very happy 'Canuck' -across the pond!

They're using Amazon Cloudfront AWS servers. The exact same thing that Netflix
and Gobbler use. They have a 99.99% reliability rate. Odds are your ISP is
having issues. RailHi Rail, with all my respect, for me like for end user it
absolutely doesn't matter what server they use even if they use Pentagon
servers. When I bought samples pack from Platinum Samples it was easy - I
bought, downloaded and go.
But now I'm siting fifth day near my Mac trying to download just 40 GB with no
positive results yet. Hi Rail, with all my respect, for me like for end user it

Where are you located geographically and who is your ISP?
The only other possible point of issue would be in the code used to download the
files. Not the actual servers. My point was this isn't a server issue. It's
either your ISP or the download software. For last more than a day I ran
downloading twice and after progress bar achieved 100% the situation are not
changed - in both cases many files failed to download correctly.
I just don't even want to start downloading again via license manager because it
will grab again more than 100% of my computer's CPU for the next 16-20 hours and
any parallel operations will be stopped. Just for the record: I downloaded for
test today 1,2 Gb of Mac OS X software update from Apple web site for less than
20 minutes without any interruptions - that's normal speed of my internet
connection. There is no answer on my ticket from Fxpansion support. How fast is
your net connection?
I must admit my net connection is terrible, and it puts me off buying some
larger, download only products - such as Komplete for example. I have bought
some, and what I tend to do is start the download late evening, and when I get
up in the morning the download has either finished or maybe has an hour to go.
Sounds like your situation is similar to mine. When downloading I can't really
do much else using the computer, as it takes all it's resources to keep
downloading such large files.
Performance here is much worse during the day. I think my speed is impacted by
the houses between me and my telephone exchange.
Kids on holiday, downloading movies and playing online games - and I can't get
anything done. Overnight is the way to go. For last more than a day I ran

There is no answer on my ticket from Fxpansion support.Ok.so all but a couple
hundred files downloaded successfully. Don't move any downloaded files from the
incomplete download, and don't delete any previously downloaded files. Leave
them exactly where they are as-is.
Now, open the Download Manager again 3. Open the download ticket again.
It should begin a new download. This time however, the Download Manager should
identify the missing files, and download only those that are needed.
The remaining 34GBs of data should remain unchanged and shouldn't require a
second download. I found this out when I had a problem during the beta where I
inadvertently deleted some XML's prior to a reinstall.

I thought I'd have to download everything again, but the Download Manager was
smart enough to only redownload only the missing XML's. Ok.so all but a couple

quite as far as looking for saved custom kits/presets, but did you have the
habit of saving your custom stuff to a non-default directory? You may need to
find them and open up the options page and make sure that is one of the paths
that BFD3 searches.
Or if you're courageous, save a new preset, find it, and then drag all your old
ones into that directory (in a separate folder in the path, just in case you
have to reverse the process) and tell BFD3 to rescan your folders. Hello, My
first post here. I will share some my experiences how I did download the BFD3
Core Library.
I'm using Windows 7 (64bit) First, I've got a feeling that the downloader inside
the License Manager just does not work correctly. My Internet connection has
been always very stable and without problems.
So, it took about 10 hours to download the Core Library with License Manager,
but the process finished with '29 files with errors'. The idea is that after
closing and re-starting the Licence Manager it should check already downloaded
files and re-download only missing or failed ones. If there's no active last
download in License manager then you just could re-start it by the ticket file
'BFD3CoreLibrary.fxfdownload' My next License Manager start and download/check
process took about 30-40 minutes and finished with.4 files with errors. I did
License Manager restarts about 6-7 times and every time the download/check
progress did show most of the time the yellow progress bar and it took 30-40
mins and I got 2 failed files. Then next time 1 failed file, and next time. 4
failed files again.!!!??? Then I decided to pay attention to error log file
(This is Windows 7 folder structure): C: Users USERNAMEHERE AppData Roaming
FXpansion LicenseManager LogsBFD3CoreLibrary-Errors.log There were 4 lines in
the error log file in my case and I saw that every line included the URL/link to
the (failed) file.
For example: Kit 3/Paiste 2002 Power Bell Ride/Edge/master21.bfdca - CRC did not
match So I decided to try these links manually with Chrome browser. And I got
these 4 files downloaded with no problems during few seconds. I did put these
files manually to the Licence Manager's download folder (in my case this is the
default) C: Users USERNAMEHERE Downloads FXpansion BFD3 Core Library Installer
Payload BFD3 Audio BFD3 Kit 3 Paiste 2002 Power Bell Ride Edge master21.bfdca
and other 3 files with the same logic and folder tree. After that, the last
License Manager check/download finished finally 100% with green progress bar and
no errors nor failed files. I hope it helps. Hi Kirurg Welcome, I'm a relative
newbie as well! I think the first part of that link is customized to your
license number, as I tried Chrome to see if I could link to it and Chrose said
that site was no good.
I tried the 3rd and 4th one you showed. I was able to get through just by
restarting the 2nd download ('ticket') multiple times (on my Mac), about 5 or 6
tries I think. All of them after the first 16 hour download went fairly quick.
Maybe FTP would have been a better protocol than HTTP for Fxpansion to use but
security concerns I'm sure were overriding.
Hello, So I decided to try these links manually with Chrome browser. And I got
these 4 files (master21.bfdca,master45.bfdca,master18.bfdca and master17.bfdca)
downloaded with no problems during few seconds. I did put these files manually

was solved by making BFD to scan everything on both drives. Thanks to everyone
ofr help. The only downside is I now seem to have ALL of my midi grooves showing
up in BFD. (And that's a lot!) Never mind, that may be good actually.
