K’s for Koah

Koah was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma 10 days before his 5th birthday, an
aggressive form of cancer that targets your B cells. K’s for Koah is about
getting kilometers with any activity, we want to celebrate all forms of movement
for our active little boy who can’t be at the moment and in doing so we’d like
to raise money for organisations who are doing amazing things to help ease the
burden on children and their families, whilst bringing smiles and hope during
what is the biggest turmoil of their lives. We will share where the funds are
being allocated as there are many organisations supporting the RCH. We’d also
like to allocate some of the funds to give back to the nurses who are tirelessly
in the grit of it all, we do not yet know how this looks, it may be food
supplied or items donated to the kitchen on paediatric cancer wards (ideas are
welcomed!). Our lovely nurse Erin mentioned that one way people can help is to
donate blood, plasma and even bone marrow. There is a huge shortage, children
receiving chemotherapy will require transfusions of all kinds so this is a great
way to assist! Every bit truly does help. We will post updates of Koah’s journey
and we encourage you to post updates of your activities so we can share it with

Cheryl Wilson's Fundraiser for Breast Cancer and L. Rigby Centre

The day of my second mammogram, I had a biopsy and I knew what the results would
be. I cried for the 1 hour drive home, thinking about how I would tell my kids.
I had to wait for a week for the confirmation, but I already knew what they
would tell me. I had breast cancer. It was the worst day of my life. I am
extremely lucky to have so many people who care about me and are supporting me
through my journey. One of my son's and his friends have all proudly grown their
hair out and are now willingly ready to shave them off in support of this
fundraiser and raising money for breast cancer and L Rigby Integrated Care
Centre at Bass Coast Health. Pictured above are the wonderful boys who will be
shaving their heads as part of our fundraising efforts. Friends and family are
welcome to contribute or participate in any way you can. Any dollar you can
spare will be greatly appreciated by everyone who has or is going through breast
cancer treatment. Thank you so much for your support.

Help Reuben's Family

Our dear friend and top bloke Reuben O'Shea tragically passed away in October
2023, after bravely fighting bowel cancer all year. He leaves behind him a young
family who really need our help right now. Rachel, Max and Peggy have not just
lost a loving partner and dad, but also a vital source of income. Any money we
can raise will help them keep their house in the short-term, and hopefully take
some pressure off Rachel while they mourn Reuben's passing.

Albert Park College Rocks the Chop!

We work with so many wonderful young people and understand that sometimes, they
face challenges. As a community, we would like to raise money for Variety
Children's Charity who can provide support for those students in need. We would
love your support. Ways you can help: by cheering us on while we cut on the day,
cutting your hair with us, or whatever you can afford to donate financially. Ms
Wright and Mr O'Donnell are choosing to shave their heads. Our hair will be cut
off at school on 13th November 2023 to create wigs, and Ms Jones is cutting off
her hair to donate, too! We will have a few brave students joining us as well!
All funds raised go to supporting the great work that Variety does and to
support our hair-chopping efforts! Thank you from the APC Community!

Lara & Chelsea Wisemantel Future Fund

Following the unexpected passing of Andrew Wisemantel, a Fund is being
established to provide for his daughters. The Lara & Chelsea Wisemantel
Education & Future Fund will provide resources for this. So many people have
asked what they can do for the family following the sudden death of Andrew.
Nothing is asked for or needed. If people would still like to help, they can
make a donation to a fund to provide for Lara & Chelsea’s future needs. The fund
will have external controls and oversight.

Motivate Ultra - 2023 Charity Spin Road Show

Motivate Ultra's 2023 Charity Spin Roadshow event returns for its 9th
consecutive year for what will be our biggest ever event. Held from 21 November
through to 1 December moving between multiple buildings along St Georges Terrace
across the two weeks. Since 2014 the team from Motivate Ultra (VAULT) have
helped raise over $160k for a variety of causes through our Annual Charity Spin
Roadshow. This year you will be raising funds in support of; Perth Children’s
Hospital Foundation, Steve Waugh Foundation, and Give a Feed. Companies are
invited to enter teams of up to 20 riders who will all ride together for 20
minutes to raise money and compete on three categories for prizes (and some
bragging rights). To enter each participant contributes a minimum donation, all
of which will go to the chosen charities. The aim is to raise funds for our
incredible charities and encourage participation and inclusivity to all,
regardless of perceived “fitness level” - plus a little competition too. To

again, putting on his Santa hat and raising much needed funds and holiday cheer
for Backpacks 4 VIC Kids, and the displaced children they help.
