shine!

Join us in discovering the next wave of Singaporean music talent and compete for
the ultimate prize: a live performance at the prestigious Formula 1 Singapore
Airlines Singapore Grand Prix.

That’s right, the winner of this year’s Youth Music Matters will perform on
Friday 20 September at the DBS Foundation Esplanade Outdoor Theatre as part of
the Singapore Grand Prix!

But that's not all. The winning band will also enjoy a one-month residency at
Timbre+ One North and four passes to the exclusive All That Matters music and
entertainment conference.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Submit your best tracks and performances through our online application form,
and our panel of music experts will choose 16 bands to rock the stage at Timbre+
One North in our semi finals on August 31st and September 1st.

Only 8 bands will make it to the grand final on September 7th!

 * How to Apply
   
   
   Simply complete the application form by 18 August.
   
   

 * Eligibility Criteria
   
   
   To take part, you must:
   
    * Be aged between 15-25 years old on the day applications close
   
    * Currently reside in Singapore
   
    * Be in a group of minimum 3 to maximum 6 performers
   
    * Be available on the given dates to register and perform
   
    * Perform material in English language
   
   Please refer to the application form for full terms and conditions
   
   

 * Selection Criteria
   
   
   A panel of judges with extensive experience in Singapore’s live music scene
   will select the bands advancing to the semifinals. These same judges will
   oversee both the semifinals and finals, applying clear selection criteria.
   
   

 * Key Dates
   
   
    * 18 August: applications close
   
    * 19-24 August: shortlisted applicants to attend an in-person registration
      and short audition
   
    * 27 August: semi finalists announced
   
    * 31 August and 1 September: live semi finals at Timbre+ One North
   
    * 7 September: live finals at Timbre+ One North
   
    * 20 September: performance at the SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX
