WELCOME TO NORTH CAROLINA BLACK DEAF ADVOCATES

NCBDA was formed with the purpose of advocating social, health, and civil rights
issues for black individuals within the deaf community. Empowerment and overall
well-being are paramount to the success of the black deaf community, and NCBDA
strives to achieve these goals.

 * To better inform ourselves and the community about the rights and
   responsibilities of Black Deaf citizens
   
   
 * To identify, examine, and disseminate information related to the impact of
   social, economic, education, health, political, and religious issues through
   the medium of panel, lectures, and workshop
   
   
 * To encourage increase in leadership development and employment opportunities
   for Black Deaf persons throughout the nation and to further their potential.

Our Mission

The North Carolina Black Deaf Advocates. (NCBDA) is committed to providing
advocacy for all persons in North Carolina who are Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing.
NCBDA supports equal access to a comprehensive coordinated system of services
and encourage all Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing people to achieve their maximum
potential through increased independence, productivity, and integration into the
community.
