WELCOME TO CERRU

WE ENVISION A WORLD WHERE OUR DIFFERENCES INSPIRE CURIOSITY, COLLABORATION, AND
INNOVATION.

Dear Students,




Welcome and thank you for being “here” with us in this very unusual fall
semester at Queens College CUNY. We know that all of you have been profoundly
affected by the pandemic that has ravaged our communities in the past year and a
half- that many of us are struggling with grief, loss of livelihood and often
with lack of housing or even food. With physical and mental distress. That in
the midst of this loss many of us are trying to find some new meanings and new
ways of being to ensure that we do not go back to “normal”- that we learn
something about how we want to move through this world.




We are profoundly moved that despite these difficult challenges, you are
proceeding with your higher education at Queens College. You’ve made a
commitment, and so we are making a commitment to you. We are here for you-
whether you are with us virtually or on campus in person. Please be on the
lookout for programming and dialoguing that we will be hosting over the course
of this semester. If you are in need of help or support, please fill out our QC
mutual aid survey and one of us will get back to you. OR, just reach out to any
member of the staff, follow us at @cerruqc, or make an appointment to meet us on
zoom or on the quad.




May you be supported in everything that you need this semester, and again,
welcome.
