WHY ICP?


ICP IS THE  DECENTRALIZED CLOUD THAT UNLOCKS THE POTENTIAL OF WEB3

DECENTRALISED CLOUD

Imagine AWS without Jeff Bezos.ICP can host websites, storage, and compute
directly from the blockchain to finally make it possible for 100% decentralized
Web3 applications to look and feel indistinguishable from the web2 experiences
everyone is used to.

DEMOCRATICIZED WEB SERVICES

While most DAOs can only control a handful of dapp parameters, ICP makes it
possible to launch DAOs that completely control the source code of a deployed
dapp. This allows for complex online services that run on code which can only be
updated through public proposals adopted by its users.

CROSS-CHAIN AUTOMATION

ICP smart contracts can sign transactions on other blockchains just like a human
user. They do this with without any centralized services, using secret keys no
human will ever get access to. Beyond serving as an L2, this enables the
creation of cross-chain decentralized autonomous actors/bots.

Artia Moghbel
Co-Founder


Artia is the former COO of DFINITY and an active VC. He got his start as a tech
entrepreneur with multiple successful exits. His fund manages a large portfolio
of early-stage startups across web3, climate, fintech, and proptech. He brings a
wealth of experience to Code & State as a co-founder

Isaac Valadez
Venture Lead


Isaac is a serial entrepreneur who co-founded dSquad, Motoko Bootcamp, ntagle,
and created the NNS Proposal Submission Dapp. He brings over a decade of
marketing and business development experience to Code & State in his role of
Venture Lead.

Sebastien Thuillier
Dev Education Lead


Seb dropped out of school 2 years ago to start his ICP journey, and has been a
rock star builder on the Internet Computer ever since. As co-founder of both
Motoko Bootcamp & dSquad, he developed a talent for helping others get started
and involved in this exciting space. He onboards hundreds of developers into
Web3 through Motoko Bootcamp

Ben Papernick
Talent Lead


Ben brings over 15 years of experience in the technical recruitment industry,
and through TalentDB he’s built the largest talent pool for the ICP industry. He
leverages his extensive network, professional skills, and domain expertise to
source, attract, and onboard top talent for the Web3 ecosystem.

Esteban Suárez
Event & Community Lead


Esteban is the founder of the IC en español community and in 2022 as part of
Vibrant he helped organize an ICP art exhibition with over 4,000 attendees! In
his free time, Esteban plays the Conga drums in an Argentinian band named Le
Esencia. He's also the band manager and has been part of organizing music
festivals with over 10,000 attendees!

Sarah Tan
Design Lead


Beyond a product design background, Sarah is a multidisciplinary design
strategist with experiences across venture capital investments, strategic
consulting and venture building. She's helped launch complex tech products for
numerous early startups in Silicon Valley and believes in driving
humanity-centered product innovation in AI and Web 3.0

Cédric Waldburger
Co-Founder


Cédric has been building ventures since he was 14 years old. He’s built and sold
companies in the creative, consumer and blockchain space. He has a degree from
ETH Zurich in Electrical Engineering and is passionate about tough riddles,
great products and the future of financial technology. Now he’s building Code &
State with a strong passion and clear vision for empowering Web3 entrepreneurs.

Bianka
Venture Assistant


Bianka is a versatile professional with extensive experience in personal
assistance, project management, and sales management. When Bianka is not in her
Code & State administration role she loves sports, traveling, photographing, and
spending quality time with family and friends.
