Located on the southern bank of the iconic and most sacred river Ganga, Patna

Patna is known for its glorious past. Patna is one of the oldest cities in the
world, known as Patliputra in the ancient times. The historical city of
Patliputra was founded by Ajatashatru, The great king of Magadhan Empire, about
twenty-five centuries ago.

Patliputra became the capital of first known empire of India that of
Magadha,when Udyain, son & successor of Ajatashatru moved his capital to
Patliputra from Rajgriha.

Patna is the Gateway to the land of Spirituality, Vibrance & Versatility-Bihar.
Bihar is the place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Lord Mahavir was
born. Two great religions Buddhism and Jainism evolved and propagated from
Bihar.Patna is the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh Guru. So Patna
is the gateway to some of the famous places of pilgrimage like Bodh Gaya,
Vaishali, Pawapuri, Rajgir and Patna itself.
