Read more... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation: * It's recommended to reboot before installation, especially for the full edition * It's also recommended to disable the virus checker during installation * Steam users should read Additional notes below * After installation, run the original game once and select your preferred resolution in the Options screen. (The patched game uses a private setting for the resolution) * Run the VisibleTweaker tool for setting up tweaks and the UTP. Screenshot showing the various UTP options can be found here The installer will set up a start menu group with shortcuts to the readmes, the options folder etc. By default it will also create two icons on your desktop: A light blue icon for the patched game and a red version for the VisibleTweaker tool. The patch has its own configuration file, VisibleOptions.ini. Normally this should be changed only through the tweak tool, but for advanced options manual editing is necessary. In that case it can be found through the Visible Upgrade start menu group (in Local Folders). Additional notes: The patch expects an original game installation, the original DX2UI.ini in particular. Existing tweaks may or may not be compatible. If a legacy FOV tool has been used, undo the changes or reinstall. If in doubt - reinstall. For the US retail version the official 1.2 patch should be installed before installing the VU. Steam users should leave the "keep the unpatched game available" option unchecked, to keep the overlay working. After installation, disable updates for the game and refrain from doing game cache validation, because it would remove the patch. No, the patch hasn't been tested with the non-English versions but I'd appreciate some feedback! You can always uninstall if it doesn't work. Reply Good karma+1 vote Agentkiller Jul 23 2017 hi, I own the german Steam Version from "Deus Ex IW" if try to install your mod it says "it's not the Installed Folder" even checked it 3 times and wrote it letter for letter by myself.... maybe I need it to install it in English, but my internet is not so fast......2h...... Dont know what steam use to start the game. If I try to start it without steam it says "Steam not found" Dx2.exe Dx2Main.exe testapp.exe runme.exe Ion Launcher.exe edit: checked again: the game is on English, there is no German Version, but still I cant install your mod....., I wish you luck that you will fix it. Reply Good karma+1 vote Agentkiller Jul 31 2017 sorry my fault......., I think it didn't work because it was still in my Download Folder.... That is in my C:\ drive. I moved it, in my D:\ drive and now it let my install it. I had a feeling I forgot something...... to test.... sorry.....-.- Reply Good karma Bad karma+1 vote Agentkiller Jul 31 2017 I Installed it, and I left everything default in your Tweaker. And now it crash the game, after the starting options. Need to open the taskmanager and choose to "log out" from my pc to close the game, it let me not close it. edit: I let the game open in Windowed mode and it close itself after 10 min of blackscreen after the "Char creation". edit2: after a hour of changeing every possible options the game still crashes at the same time. Thank you so much for this. I had some problems with the installation, there were some problems finding paths of ini files as well as creating directories. I think what did the trick was to start the installer as an administrator right away instead of providing the password after the prompt.
