MILEWISE GENERAL FAQS


WHAT IF I DRIVE ONE OF MY VEHICLES A LOT?

No problem — each vehicle on the policy will be classified as Pay-Per-Mile or
Unlimited. The Pay-Per-Mile option is best for your lower mileage vehicles
because you will pay a single daily rate plus a per mile rate for each mile you
drive. Unlimited is best for your high mileage vehicles because you only pay a
daily rate — no matter how many miles you drive.


WHAT HAPPENS WITH A VEHICLE CHANGE ON MY MILEWISE POLICY?

If you replace one vehicle on your policy with another, you can transfer the
device from your old vehicle to your new one. If you add a new vehicle to your
policy, you will receive a new device. Please contact your Allstate Agent or the
Milewise Customer Team at 877-389-0047 to make changes to your policy.


IS COVERAGE THE SAME ON A MILEWISE AND A TRADITIONAL POLICY?

Yes! You get the same great coverage and claims support you would expect from
Allstate, along with expert service from an agent you know and trust.

WHAT IS MILEWISE AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Milewise is an auto insurance product that gives you more control over your
insurance costs and gives feedback on your driving. Choose the Pay-Per-Mile
vehicle option, the Unlimited vehicle option, or a combination of both. With the
Pay-Per-Mile option, you pay a low daily rate and Per-Mile rate when you drive.
Unlimited vehicles are only assessed a Daily Rate, regardless of miles driven.

Both Milewise options offer the same convenient billing process: when your
account reaches its minimum balance, it's automatically replenished via the
credit on file. Milewise works with an easy-to-use mobile app and/or website as
well as a small device that plugs into your vehicle's diagnostic port, which is
usually under the steering column. The device detects how much you drive for the
most accurate Pay-Per-Mile cost and ensures Unlimited vehicles experience the
full benefits of Milewise like trip info, account details and Allstate Rewards
points.


WHAT IS ALLSTATE REWARDS?

The Milewise device provides additional value through Allstate Rewards, a
program where you can earn points for your safe driving. Redeem your points for
savings on merchandise, gift cards, daily deals, local offers, auctions and
more!

MILEWISE DEVICE FAQS


DOES IT MATTER WHICH VEHICLE MY DEVICE IS PLUGGED INTO?

Yes — the device must be installed in the vehicle designated on the device
packaging.


HOW DO I CONFIRM MY MILEWISE DEVICE IS WORKING AND RECORDING TRIPS?

A red light on the device will flash briefly once it is installed. You will also
receive a notification through your app once the device is connected.

It's important to check your app and/or website to ensure trips are being
recorded. You will be notified in the app, website, or through email if there is
an issue with the device or if trips are not recording. Trips should appear on
the dashboard within 48 hours. Sometimes trips will not appear right away
because the vehicle is in an area where the device does not have adequate
cellular service. Once the vehicle is in an area where the device can connect,
all data from the device will be transferred and recorded in the Milewise
dashboard.


WHY SHOULD I PLUG IN MY DEVICE FOR MY VEHICLE WITH THE UNLIMITED MILE OPTION?

The Milewise device ensures you experience the full benefits of Milewise,
including personalized driving feedback, account details, and Allstate Rewards
points.


HOW DO I PLUG IN THE MILEWISE DEVICE?

The Milewise device plugs into your vehicle's diagnostic port, usually located
under the steering column.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY MILEWISE DEVICE?

The Milewise device will not ship until your policy effective date. You can
track your shipment via the link in the "Your Milewise device has shipped!"
email you received. If you didn't receive an email, please contact your Allstate
agent or the Milewise Customer Team at 877-389-0047.


WILL THE MILEWISE DEVICE AFFECT MY VEHICLE BATTERY?

The Milewise device has it's own battery along with a sleep mode to reduce
vehicle battery draw to a negligible amount, comparable to a vehicle clock.


WHAT INFORMATION DOES THE MILEWISE DEVICE COLLECT?

Information collected by the Milewise device includes driving speed, miles, time
of day, driving events, and location. This enables us to provide you
personalized driving feedback, account details, and Allstate Rewards points. A
detailed list of the information collected by the device can be viewed at
https://www.arity.com/device-data/.


WHAT DO I DO IF MY DEVICE IS DAMAGED?

If your Milewise device is damaged, please contact your Allstate Agent or call
the Milewise Customer Team at 877-389-0047. We'll work with you to offer a
replacement device.


MILEWISE ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT FAQS


HOW DO I MAKE PAYMENTS?

Set up your Milewise account with an initial down payment, then pay as you go.
Trip costs are deducted from your Milewise account after each trip is completed
and processed — usually within 48 hours. When your account reaches the minimum
balance, it will automatically replenish via the credit card on file.

You can also make a payment on your account at any time by accessing the Payment
Information section on the Milewise website via My Account (see steps below).

 * Login to the My Account website
 * Select milewise.allstate.com to access Milewise website
 * Next, select "View Payment Information" to display the payment history
 * Click One-Time Payment

You can also make a one-time payment on the Allstate mobile app.


HOW DO I UPDATE MY CREDIT CARD ON FILE?

You can update your credit card on file via the Payment section in the Allstate
mobile app or the Milewise Website:

 1. Log in to My Account
 2. Under the 'My Policies' section, click the link to the Milewise policy to
    view policy details
 3. Click the Payment tab
 4. Click 'Update Credit Card' under Payment Information in the lower left
    corner

Note: The changes made by the customer through the Milewise website and the
Allstate mobile app will be effective immediately


HOW DO I UPDATE MY EMAIL ADDRESS ON FILE?

You can update your email address through My Account.

 1. Log in to My Account
 2. Select the drop down arrow next to Settings
 3. Select Profile
 4. Under Contact Information, select edit next to email address


MILEWISE COST FAQS


HOW ARE MY RATES DETERMINED?

When you sign up for Milewise, you'll receive a Daily Rate and Per-Mile Rate
based on factors such as driver age, vehicle type, and driver history - similar
to a traditional auto policy. In certain states, these rates may fluctuate up or
down based on your driving behavior (AZ, FL, MA, MN, MO, OK, PA, SC, TX, WI).
For better rates, avoid speeds over 80 mph, sudden braking (slowing down more
than 8 mph in one second), and late-night driving between 11 PM and 4 AM.


WHAT IF I TAKE A LONG TRIP?

No problem - we cap the number of miles you pay each day for each vehicle. In
most states, the cap is 250 miles (150 in OR, IL, IN, OH and NJ). Once the cap
is reached, the miles are on us!


WHAT HAPPENS ON DAYS I DON'T DRIVE AT ALL?

On the days you don't drive, you only pay the daily rate listed on your Milewise
account.


WILL I BE CHARGED IF MY MILEWISE DEVICE IS NOT REPORTING DUE TO A MALFUNCTION?

If your Milewise device is not working, we will send you an email to notify you.
You may contact your agent or the Milewise Customer Team at 877-389-0047 to help
resolve any issues. It is important to resolve the issue with the device so you
are not negatively impacted or assessed the Mileage Assessment Charge (40 miles
per day).


HOW ARE MY TRIP COSTS CALCULATED?

For Pay-Per-Mile vehicles, we will multiply the miles driven (rounded to one
tenth of a mile) by your Per Mile Rate for that vehicle. Unlimited vehicles only
pay a Daily Rate and do not incur an additional charge for miles driven.


WHEN ARE MY TRIPS CHARGED?

Trip costs for Pay-Per-Mile vehicles are deducted from your Milewise account
after a trip is completed and processed, usually within 48 hours. The fixed
Daily Rate for both Pay-Per-Mile and Unlimited vehicles is deducted from your
Milewise account daily, regardless of miles driven.


WHAT IS "DEFAULT MILEAGE USE" (CHARGED FOR 40 MILES EACH DAY)?

Pay-Per-Mile vehicles require the Milewise device to be installed in order to
accurately capture mileage and calculate costs. If mileage information is not
received, the Default Mileage Use rate is charged. If you have issues with the
device, including disconnection or incompatibility, please contact your Allstate
Agent or call the Milewise Customer Team at 877-389-0047.


HOW AM I CHARGED FOR MY MILEWISE UNLIMITED MILEAGE VEHICLE?

Vehicles with the Unlimited mileage option only pay a Daily Rate each day of the
policy period — regardless of miles driven. You do not incur additional charges
for miles driven which is why this is a good option for your higher mileage
vehicles.


MILEWISE TRIP FAQS


WHY CAN'T I SEE MY MILEWISE TRIP DATA IN THE ALLSTATE® MOBILE APP OR MY ACCOUNT
WEBSITE?

Most trips will display on the Milewise dashboard in the Allstate® mobile
app/Milewise website within 48 hours of trip completion. Sometimes trips will
not appear right away because the vehicle is in an area where the device does
not have adequate cellular service. Once the vehicle is in an area where the
device can connect, all data from the device will be transferred and recorded
with Milewise account.

If you still unable to view your trip(s), please contact the Milewise Customer
Team at 877-389-0047.


WHAT IF SOMEONE ELSE DRIVES MY VEHICLE?

The Milewise device will continue to capture driving information for the
vehicle, regardless of the driver.
