Overview

CLICK TO EDIT HEADING

You can request electronic signatures (eSignatures) using LawConnect and
DocuSign for a range of forms and cost agreements in Guides & Precedents.

 

CLICK TO EDIT HEADING

Cost Agreements are only available if you are subscribed to By Lawyers.

 

To use eSignatures, an InfoTrack account is required.

 

CLICK TO EDIT HEADING

Customise any document or precedent to request eSignatures using LawConnect and
DocuSign. For more information, view our Inserting eSignature Fields Into

REQUEST AN ESIGNATURE

 

 1. Open the matter.

 2. Click on .

 3. Locate the document and double-click to open.
    
    The document will open in Microsoft Word.

 4. When you are done with the document, click Save & Close.
    
    The document will be displayed in the correspondence list of the matter and
    will display next to it.

 5. Select the document and click .
    
    The LawConnect - Request eSignature window will open.

 6. Select the party to receive the eSignature request.

 

CLICK TO EDIT HEADING

Only client cards with an email address will be displayed in the LawConnect
window.

 

There is a limit to the number of recipients that can be selected for
eSignatures:

 * For individuals, there is a maximum of four.
 * For companies, there is a maximum of two.

If your client is a company, you'll need to enter their contact details under
the Company Execution tab of the client card.

 7. Click Send Request.

Once the eSignature Request has been sent, the document will be displayed in the
correspondence list of the matter and will now display  next to it.

Once the document has been signed through LawConnect and DocuSign, you will
receive a confirmation email and the icon next to the document in the
correspondence list of the matter will change to .

 

CLICK TO EDIT HEADING

There is a charge for using eSignatures which is noted at the bottom of the
LawConnect eSignature window.

A Cost Recovery will automatically be created for the matter in the amount of
the eSignature which can be invoiced to your client.
