Dr. David S. Ellman is one of the leading professionals for women’s health in
Florida. He’s a Board Certified OB/GYN who’s been practicing in South Florida
for over 25 years and believes in a holistic approach to women’s health care.
Dr. Ellman earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the State University of
New York at Binghamton and earned his medical degree at Albert Einstein College
of Medicine of Yeshiva University. He understands the importance of fostering
long-term relationships with patients at the women’s health clinic and leads a
team of women’s health professionals committed to the patient experience.

The women’s health clinic boasts a state-of-the-art sonogram room and in-house
laboratory. Our team of nurses and professionals for women’s health at our
women’s health clinic gives each patient the highest caliber of service on every
visit. Moreover, we’re always a phone call or mouse click away when patients
have questions.

Many women experience anxiety before they visit a women’s health clinic, and we
understand! That’s why we have a team of handpicked professionals for women’s
health who are committed to providing legendary service. Obstetrics is a field
of women’s health care that deals with pregnancy and giving birth. Our women’s
health clinic offers an array of services dedicated to ensuring a healthy
delivery for both you and your baby. An obstetrician/gynecologist also has
expertise in reproductive system disorders and other women’s health care issues.

OB/GYNs are considered to be specialty professionals for women’s health, and our
women’s health care services include services for breast care, sexually
transmitted infections (STIs), and ovarian cancer. Thanks to increases in
screening procedures, we can now detect and treat many forms of cancer before
they have a chance to spread. In fact, we’ve seen over a 50% drop in incidence
rates since the mid-1970s because of early screening. All OB/GYNs at our women’s
health clinic receive rigorous training to continue providing the women’s health
care our patients deserve.



In addition to seeing an OB/GYN, women are also encouraged to go to other
professionals for women’s health at least once per year, including their primary
care physician. We will work with primary care providers to coordinate care and
ensure optimal women’s health care for all of our patients throughout their
lifetime. During pregnancy, the OB/GYN predominantly functions as a woman’s
primary physician and services the majority of her women’s health care needs,
but we will coordinate with all of the members of your medical team.

Our women’s health clinic also features many wonderful amenities to make you
comfortable during your visit. We have a waiting room coffee bar, refreshments,
and a relaxing aromatherapy experience rarely seen at a women’s health clinic.
We also have a state-of-the-art sonogram room and an in-house laboratory for
rapid turnaround on testing and other procedures at the women’s health clinic.

It doesn’t end when you leave the clinic, either! Dr. Ellman is available around
the clock to answer your health care questions and to provide support. We’re
also a proud member of the TopLine MD Alliance, a collective group of practices

WHAT IS A WOMEN'S HEALTH SERVICE?

Women’s health services include a wide range of focus areas, such as: breast
care, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), reproductive health, and ovarian
cancer, as well as a variety of preventative health measures like pap smears,
prenatal and postpartum care, and cervical screenings. All OB/GYNs receive
extensive, rigorous training to best serve and care for their patients.

IS WOMEN'S HEALTH CONSIDERED PRIMARY CARE?

An Obstetrician/Gynecologist has expertise in pregnancy, childbirth,
reproductive system disorders, and other women’s-related health issues. Since
OB/GYNs are specifically trained to handle women’s reproductive health issues,
they are considered to be specialty care physicians. In addition to seeing an
OB/GYN, women are also encouraged to go to a primary care physician at least
once per year. OB/GYNs typically work with their patients’ primary care
providers to coordinate care and ensure the optimal health and safety of each
individual. During pregnancy, the OB/GYN predominatly functions as a woman’s
primary physician and services the majority of her needs.
