In 1978, we had the privilege of contributing to the completion of the East
Building at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. While the West
Building, designed by John Russell Pope and funded by Andrew W. Mellon, opened
in 1941, the East Building—designed by I.M. Pei—added a modern touch to the
gallery, housing contemporary art and exhibitions. Our MEP services ensured that
the East Building’s infrastructure matched its architectural brilliance,
creating a space that continues to inspire visitors. #FlashbackFriday
